Location: Pauls Valley, OK | Hi, I would appreciate any suggestions. I have a mare that I would like to breed. I am leaning towards a horse like French Streakin Jess. I had also thought of breeding her to a cutting horse. I had an awesome cutting horse that I used to own that was very consistent.Thank you! https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/mia+mar+shawne Mia Mar Shawne

| My opinion for what it is worth. Cutting horses make great cutting horses, but if you want a barrel horse...breed to a barrel horse. |

Location: Pauls Valley, OK | Thank you! I have a Handcock horse that is an awesome barrel horse and I had a cutting horse that also was a 1D barrel horse. I competed on him on the college rodeo circuit. It seems like so many barrel horses are out of Dash For Cash. That is what my mare is and I don't really want a double registered horse. I have had a few Dash For Cash Horses and love them, just don't have any experience with the Frenchmans Guy Horses or Sunfrost. I am also looking for something built more like a cutting horse. My mare is huge! I would prefer something smaller and stouter than my mare. Thanks so much for your input. :) |

Location: California | IMO crossing on a cutting stallion is a waste of money, resale value will not be as well if you crossed on one (to cutters or barrel racers). Plus, depending on your mares temperament, a lot of cutting bred horses are very hot and sensitive. The only one I would recommend would be Blazin Jetolena that has some cutting lines. I think there's other options for your mare that are good and that are not dash for cash such as, slick by design, epic leader, pc frenchmans hayday, etc. Stud fees are $2500 and up, but I think it's worth while because the end product will be higher level. Your mare is cute and has a nice set of papers. Good look on your adventure! |

Location: Pauls Valley, OK | She used to be lazy, but now that she has realized that she can run, she is a little on the hot side. Part of it is that she gets buddy sour. I probaby wouldn't want to breed her to a cutting horse then. I will check into those horses. Thanks so much for the info and nice comment about Mia! :) |

Location: Loco,Ok | Hooked on Run 102si. Ardmore Oklahoma. Jake Bramlett owns him. Hes big nice horse we bred twice to him. And if started several for Jake. They have been sure good to handle. He takes good care of your mares. Very good vet also. |

| There is a reason so many horses are Dash For Cash. Dash For Cash is on of the very few prolific barrel stallions. They are the ones that are winning. If price is not a problem, I would breed to a son of Dash Ta Fame. |

Location: Pauls Valley, OK | I understand that. My mare is a Dash For Cash Horse and I have had a few of them. I just don't want to breed her to a Dash For Cash Horse. Thanks! |

| Why not breed to a young 4yo stallion that has a sire that earned over $500,000 and has a dam that has won over $300,000 as pro-rodeo, NFR and high school rodeo champion?? SLYE BY DESIGN and is already enrolled in Future Fortunes and the PINK BUCKLE SERIES !! High Point Performance Horses has one of the most professional staffs that you will ever encounter.... https://highpointperformance.com/portfolio-items/slye-by-design/ His pedigree is stacked with well known successful barrel horse sires and dams along with speed and turn with one DFC in the foals 6th generation. https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/slye+by+design This link on STORIES OF GREATNESS presented by Purina should quell any myths you have heard about his dam KELLIES CHICK and watch NFR and other runs by his sire and dam .. .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wEYxXoNiEQ Spend some time looking at the size of horses and their pedigrees that are winning across the nation that are winning by a thousandth of a second at major events due to their speed running home. 30+mph across the timer line is needed to go to the pay window with the competition that is out there today!! The siring record by DASH TA FAME on the track and barrel pen will stand for many years to come ... and no one has ever complained about his size or the size of his foals being too big .... https://dashtafamehorses.com/about/ GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CHOICE OF STALLIONS ..
