This may be a dumb question, but does anyone order their feed from Big Dee's?

I'm switching mine from a locally milled feed to Tribute Kalm N Ez, since high NSC apparently makes my colt a bit of a .

My local dealer sells it for $22, and it's on Big Dee's for about $17.

I figured there must be a catch... does anyone order their feed online? Part of me wants to avoid it because it simply seems nontraditional, and I enjoy the trips to the feed store, but that's a considerable savings.

Its FOB shipping, so you'll have to pay the higher shipping rate and I believe theres an extra $5 charge for oversized item. I get the Tribute Tough As Nails 11lb bucket and its $12 just to ship it because its FOB. If I add 5 bags to my cart and check the shipping its $89.66 in shipping for 5 bags

Make sure to look into the cost of shipping.

I don't know what area you are in but the cost to get it from your local mill seems a little high. I get mine for the same price as Big Dee's is offering.

My goodness by the time you pay for shipping it will still all come out the same, and I would worry about getting bad bags and then you would have to go threw all the trouble of having to ship it all back..

It's $5 extra per bag of shipping plus then the cost of FOB, so it's going to be a lot cheaper to keep paying the $22. I don't know where you are but Farm & Fleet carries it now, they stock it at my store and it's $15.99 a bag. I was paying $19.95 a bag, but I get the regular Kalm N Ez pellets, not the GC. My feed guy started ordering it for me and one other and because he doesn't order a certain amount to stock he has to pay an extra $3 a bag for the shipping. That's why mine is priced high. Farm & Fleet just got it in a week or two ago and I'll be going there for it now since it's in my town and the feed place was a half hour drive.

I see! I just saw their flashing ad for "Free shipping over $70", but this makes much more sense! Well now I feel awfully dumb. I promise I can tie my own shoelaces LOL

But can you chew gum at the same time?

Seriously, I looked at ordering Sr Active when my feed store went out of business and we were gonna have to drive hours one way for feed.  Until I saw the shipping costs. . .

I've not checked their prices on that specifically, but check Chewy.com

With chewy, that feed is $24.99 a bag and free shipping over $49, or $23.74 with autoship. So shipping is free with chewy, but you do pay some tax on it.

Chewy gives great service and fast shipping. I order my Standlee Alfafa cubes from them. I will add I have ordered from Big Dee , and always have gotten great service from them as well, just their shipping rates are higher, for the most part.

I love chewy's! I ordered a blanket from them, which was advertised as rip stop....my filly tore it to shreds within a month, and they refunded me the money when I contacted them. Excellent customer service.
