I think that makes 23 with DeBlasio.  It will be entertaining to watch the infighting as they work to kill each other off.  Mark Cuban would like a shot at it but he doesn't think anyone can beat Trump.

Our Governor is running...I'd actually vote for him, he has been pretty good for our state although I would prefer our previous governor (Schweitzer) run...he was even better. I have no beef between Republican or Democrat...just whoever is the best candidate and will do best in the job.

What I think is funny, is that Harris is upset about the talk of her being the VP to Biden.  She just doesn't want to be the token "blackish" woman.  But she would surely use others to get votes.

Stacy Abrams was equally annoyed when Beto said he would likely choose her as his running mate.  She said she didn't have any intention of running for second place.  She's the one still whining her off because she believes she was cheated out of a governor's seat.  Stacy and Hillary have a lot in common.

How many Republicans ran in 2016? I feel like it was a lot but holy moly not 23!

One of these elections, I'd like to see a libertarian actually have a decent chance but that's just me.

I suspect several of these folks are just climbing into the already overly packed clown car for the money and possible other oportunities.   They know they have a snowballs chance...but in the process they can fundraise and line their pockets.

Heck...even Bernie came out of the last go round with another million plus home.

There were 17.  It made the debates very awkward as the more prominent ones were fed the questions while the rest were lucky to get to field a question now and then.

I've often wondered how these people who are Congressmen and Senators running for POTUS get to use their time for campaigning instead of working their job i.e. Kamala Harris and Cory Booker for instance.  They should be doing this without pay.

GOP'ers didn't care how many ran in '16 for the GOP nomination. . What a hypocritical bunch.

Biden will be the Democrat nominee. The rest will fall away.

Even Hillary, as unlikable as she is, got more votes than Trump. Biden will get more than Trump as well. Will it be enough to make a difference in the electoral college?

We'll see.

I was thinking the same thing, for money and attention and they will get plenty of both..

I thought it was absolutely ridiculous and like a danged circus during debates for the GOP to have that many running in '16 just as I think it's asinine for the Dems to have 20 plus in the running in '20.

No hypocrisy here.

I watched Biden speaking to reporters the other day and was appalled at how difficult it was for him to put a coherent sentence together.  Life becomes more difficult as you get older and that's not his fault but he needs to relax on the beach instead of hitting the campaign trail.  He was never very good at what he does and has a lot of history that's going to plague him as he tries.

OK, you're the Unicorn of the GOP'ers. It doesn't surprise me that that they would have 1 reasonable person among their ranks.

I am sure the MAJORITY of us conservatives felt that was a ridiculous number of candidates in 16.

Can you say that you DON"T find the number of Dems that have now thrown their hat in the ring as ridiculous?

If Biden wins the nomination...and folks vote for him....they either have VERY short memories...or are fools.
