| I see Cheyenne changed the format to something no one is fond of. Does anyone have any information on this? Apparently all the top 50 calf ropers are drawing out to make a point?? |

Location: the land of dust & sticks | Seems like I read that it was going to make it harder for people to compete at it and other rodeos? ... like they were going to have to stay there longer?.... the new format was really confusing for me to follow |

| You are pretty much stuck in Cheyenne the entire time of the rodeo. It ends up being 5 runs, not 3. The money is less...not that they exactly even have the payout figured. It’s during the busiest time of the year with a LOT of big money rodeos you will have to not enter, or draw out of. |

| The WPRA members voted against it. But the BOD does whatever it wants. |

Final numbers after grace period were 38 Steer Wrestlers and 121 Tie Down Ropers with 49 of the top 50 drawing out to make their point.

They're both going to be there anyway for the tripping.... The boycott will make absolutely no difference to Cheyenne - the guys need to take this up with the PRCA instead. Trevor is no longer rodeoing hard but focusing on other stuff. It makes sense for him to go - he can enter 3 events. |

It’s a death trap for a dogging team. That’s why the dogging numbers are so down. Cheyenne is not allowing trades. You have one team that 5 guys use and they all draw up the same, the animal rights activists will have a hay day with that. The new format is all about TV exposure. Screw what is good for the contestants. |

Dont push your opinions on others, and don't hold it against anyone for entering if they don't mind it... To me its just like ground or parking... if you ask me my opinion on a arena, and I tell you my experience, like I thought the ground was hard, and the parking was on pavement and say I probably am not going back, but I am not going to hold it against you if you go... lol I just don't get it... If you don't like it, don't enter it... but maybe it's just me lol |

Location: SE KS | Years past, going to Cheyenne you could draw up in slack, and then make Deadwood and Burwell all in that week and Then hope you made it back to the short go for Sunday or you headed on down to Dodge or some others. So you could make some rodeos. How it will work now who knows. As a steer roping spouse it worked well.... Kinda sad.... some things should be kept a tradition. Not really a fan of the new format. For timed events horses that is hard on them, and you are actually running at less money - at one rodeo. jmo

I think this way too, about just about everything... however, I don't steer wrestle or rope (or even barrel race) for a living-- if I did, being locked into a rodeo and having to miss or turn out of good money elsewhere would probably bother me. Plus, when the big names don't show up, some fans don't show up either. I wonder how this will be received with both the Cheyenne committe and the PRCA. Not that my two cents matters, but no hate towards Trevor for still showing up. He's semi-retired and is more selective about where he pursues a paycheck. |

Location: Texas | I think that I read that you could end up making 5 runs instead of 3. In that arena, I am not sure that I would want to make 5 runs on a good horse. |

It’s now a tournament style, like CO Springs. They have, I believe it was limited to 148 in slack? They past years they’ve had over 250 in slack. They take 78 back into the pool. Cheyenne is also no longer a Circuit rodeo for the Mountain States Circuit. I was at a graduation tonight and some past Circuit Finals qualifiers were talking about that. |
