I am currently riding in a Pozzi Pro Racer with a 4.5 inch cantle.  From a comfort/safety level, I love it. From a competition level I am starting to struggle in it a little bit.  It pitches me forward super hard at the first barrel and makes it hard for me to sit down on my butt.  And it is big enough as far as seat size goes ;)

What do you all recommend if you want to FEEL super held in in your saddle but maybe have more slope to the cantle?

Have you fiddled with your stirrups at all?  Sometimes it’s as simple as that to correct an issue.

Saddles are pretty personal preference.  I love my Burns and it is probably the most balanced saddle I’ve ever ridden in for me and my style.  And as my husband would attest, I’ve had more than my fair share of saddles.  But I’ve also heard of a few people who didn’t care for them.

at most my cantle is 4.5” - I know Burns doesn’t usually make a 5”, but I think it is probably closer to 4”:  I had a C3 before the Burns with the 5” and didn’t realize how much it made my lower back hurt until I quit riding in it.  I would it pushing me forward at times too, fighting with my riding styke.

one thing we’ve come to like a lot are hard seats.  IMO padding breaks down and if you’re already heavier in one seat bone than the other, that side just breaks down faster and amplifys any issues.
