| Based on bloodlines alone, what stallion or bloodlines would you cross this mare on? When people post this question, I always ask “what are you hoping to improve? What are your plans for the foal? Etc., etc.” I’m usually not one to suggest ideas based on bloodlines alone, but this mare is a possibility for us and I’ve never seen her, only my husband has- planning on meeting her after our two legged baby decides to join the world (any day now) and I need something to occupy my thoughts so I don’t think about how uncomfortable I am Thank you!

Firewaterontherocks would be my choice with that mare!
I do like his bloodlines, and he sure has made a name for himself! I saw on his website where they listed a 2018 fee with limited bookings, but I haven’t come across any information about his 2019 fee- did his owners still ship semen this year? |

I can’t wait to meet her in person, not that I don’t trust J’s opinion I did find a picture of her as a foal, and I was definitely impressed, so we shall see!

I definitely agree, it really does depend on what you want- and budget needs to be taken into account, especially for resale value. There’s so many nice stallions and bloodlines to choose from, it will be fun to weigh the pros and cons of them all compared to this mare (once I finally meet her and we get her home!) I really like SBL and MCM (which son of hers were you referring to?), and I do like the fact that this mare has no DFC (just his sire Rocket Wrangler), so that makes her a good outcross on those DTFs! I hadn’t heard of NPOM, but his dam speaks for herself! And you are correct- there’s nothing wrong with a plain Jane sorrel, fancy color doesn’t always make the horse.

| Your mare needs as many barrel speed and turn bloodlines as you can stack from one sire into a future foals genes ... DASH TA FAME TINYS GAY FRENCHMANS GUY BIANKUS JET OF HONOR SLICK BY DESIGN SLYE BY DESIGN The genes in your new mare has two directions it can go .. some speed and cutting horse conformations and characteristics.. So find a sire that can direct the foals genes into barrel speed, turning ability/agility barrel conformation, barrel characteristics and solid long term soundness.. GOOD LUCK .. |

| I'm no stallion suggestion expert but wow I love the way that mare is bred... I would think you may could get away with a LOT of run, and still have the turn/rate in there due to the bloodlines of the mare. Keep us updated. |

No worries!! He sure is a nice stud, and all of his babies seem really balanced and athletic! |

That’s kind of what I’m thinking as well- I love the run/cow cross, and since she already has that, I feel like the options are endless and I don’t mind daydreaming while I’m nesting I will absolutely keep updating as we go see her, and then make more defined choices based on seeing her in person/owning her! |
