Hi everyone! So, we are expecting a bouncing baby cowboy the first week of November! Yay!!!! However, we’re having a hard time coming up with a name. First name will be William,  however we do not have a middle name and that just happens to be what he will go by LOL

so does anyone have any boy names they’d be up for sharing? ??????

What about William Jacob (Jake)? I am VERY partial to the name Jake, that is my son’s name.

Congrats!! We are expecting our little cowboy any day now. Are there any names you don’t like? Do you have any other children you’d like to continue a pattern with? Are you wanting something trendy/classic for the middle name?

This is our first child, so no patterns with siblings. We’re open to about anything to be honest because at this point we haven’t agreed on anything other than William! Lol

Congrats on your new little cowboy!!!

I have 3 grandsons and love their names, I have a Gage, Ethan and Kain, just throwing these names at ya,

I think a William Lane would be cool. Or William Cody

I'm biased because it's my son's name (who was also born the first week of November), but I love Cooper and James.

We’ve already looked at the names suggested and between the two of us, they all got veto’d for one reason or another. Lol

Thank you, we are definitely ready to meet him!! There are so many names to choose from, and since he will be called his middle name, you could go with just about anything. William Thomas (Tom/Tommy/Thomas), William Augustus (call him Gus like from Lonesome Dove), William Tyler (call him Ty or Tyler), William Roy/Ray, William Joseph (Joe/Joey/Joseph), William Grayson (Gray/Grayson).

You could always think about who your heroes are- I love the name Theodore for Theodore Roosevelt (heck, I even like Roosevelt for a girl and call her Rosie- my husband isn’t such a big fan...), or you could look at PRCA cowboy bios/read some western books or watch old western movies/etc., see if any names catch your eye. My husband’s middle name (and his mother’s maiden name) is Everett, so that will be our son’s first name- I’m not sure if you have any family names you’d like to pass along?

The OP could do William Colton (call him Colt/Colton), or even Colter.

I just met a Colter recently! He was trying to court my daughter lol! They went on a little date to a concert. She ended up telling him they should just be friends (thank you Jesus) anyway, I thought that was a very cool and unique name, I like it.

I love the name Cooper, but it’s one of my best friends little boys name. I know these two will be playing together, I don’t know if it’ll be good or bad to have them both have the same name. Lol

This sounds like good advice :)  William is a family name for him, we’ve been mulling over some of my family names, but my family names get recycled a lot. Lol

Chandler was my maiden name (and I'm an only child), so Chandler was gonna be a Chandler if he was a boy or a girl!   I figured I'd only get one shot!   Hours before I went into labor, Chris said I want him to have Christopher in his name if it's a boy.  (We didn't find out what we were having--old fashioned I am!)  So we have Christopher Chandler Thompson!

I like William Slayde. . .

We had talked about doing that, as I’m really proud of my maiden name.  However, my maiden name is Walter and I hate to do that to him, name him William Walter. That’s like little old man name to the 9000th degree. Lol

William Slayde is awesome!! My only nieces name is Slayden though. Lol

This is why this is so hard! Lol

Jacob was my maiden name and Raymond was my late fathers name, he didn't ever get to meet Jacob, unfortunately. So I gave Jacob my fathers name for his middle name. But we just call him Jacob Ray, or Jake or sometimes J.R.

Y'all have a lot of good names already covered in your family!

I agree that maybe William Walter is a tad older for a newborn!!!!  It's so fun but also pressure packed with responsibility when deciding on names. . .
