| But not last night! Boy, it's just not fun trying to sell stuff anymore, especially online. I have a 4pk of classic equine sport boots I listed on Facebook on several pages. Just had a guy say hed buy them. I asked for email address so I can paypal... he said hed pay me thru Facebook. I've never done that before so I told him I wasnt familiar how that worked. He said, it's just like paypal but no emails needed. Then he says as soon as I send him the tracking # hed get me paid! Lol!! I said mister, I'm not shipping a darn thing UNTIL I get paid. Then, get this, he sends me his mailing address!! Haha! Cant make this stuff up. . I just blocked him. |

| Does paying thru Facebook protect you like paypal does? I really didn't have an issue about him paying me thru fb it's just when he said as soon as I gave him a tracking # hed pay me.. that's where the red flag got raised |

Location: Kansas | Oh goodness, people are doing this alot lately. I saw a guy post on facebook that a woman messaged him about buying some boots off him, and he shipped before payment in "good faith".....long story short, he's out money and she got free boots. I will never ship without payment, people are crazy |

| I feel like stuffing a bunch of old newspaper into a package and shipping it to him since he did provide an address. unfortunately in this world, you cant go off good faith anymore. For the most part, I've had very good experiences selling/buying online, except for a handful of people saying theyd buy my item, give me an email for paypal and then never pay me. If I say I'm going to buy something, I buy it, If for some reason i can't or change my mind, i have the decency to tell them! My hubby tells me to "stop expecting YOU from everyone " lol! Hes right. |

I once had someone pay me through Facebook. I never gave them any info either, they just sent the money and I got a message saying I had to approve it. It was really easy to do. |

| I'm going to listen to my intuition on this one. The whole thing seems so odd. I politely messaged him that the boots were sold but thank you and I did not accept his payment thru Facebook. I always like using paypal. I'm familiar with it and they've always taken good care of me. I paid for an item thru paypal and I hadn't received it after trying to communicate with the seller and not getting an answer I contacted paypal and they went to bat for me. I received my money back with a few days after no resolution with the seller. |

Location: Oklahoma | I paid a girl for a bit through Facebook because I wanted a bit she had, and she never would send me her paypal addy.....bad move....yes, it did go through paypal, but it's like Friends and Family and there's NO protection...not through paypal and not through facebook. I tried disputing it through paypal and it didn't give me that option....when I emailed, they told me sorry, it was not protected....facebook just sent me canned messages like they do on everything else that had nothing to do with what I wanted to know. They did finally send me a message saying I couldn't get my money back through them. So long story short, I never got my $57 back and don't have a bit, either. |

| Yes! I always tell people who dont want to paypal that its protecting both the seller and the buyer. I'm selling a saddle right now and of course I've gotten a zillion responses from interested people, tire kickers and typical scammers trying to scam. I finally took the saddle off the internet and its sitting down at my feed store on display because I'm so tired of all the nonsense online. I post it on ISO ads I come across that match what people are looking for to weed out all the riffraff. I've got a lady now that messaged me about it and wanted to know if I would take her credit card. I told her paypal is the only way I'd accept payment and she can easily link her credit card to her paypal accounts. She sent me an email address and I sent her a very detailed invoice because shes wanting my saddle and the pad I had pictured with it. Well... I'm still waiting on payment lol! Sigh...... |
