I'm back to school (teacher) now and my horse is acting as if he's needing to have his hocks done. However, due to my schedule, I don't have the time to haul to my vet to get it done anytime soon. I do, however, have some Pentosan on hand. Would it help at all to do a loading dose on that instead to hold him over for a couple of months?

Pentosan is awesome, not quite as awesome as injections directly into the joint if they need it, but good product. I teach High School and feel your PAIN on appointments. My vet only works until 2 or 3 at the latest so its impossible almost to get things taken care of. When i need coggins or health cert I have to pay a ranch call for her to come out and its expensive. She WILL come out after when I'm home BUT then I have an after hours fee on top of it. :(

I wish! The only vet that will do farm calls is the kind of vet I only trust for vaccines and coggins, if you know what I mean. LOL Everyone good, I have to haul 45min or more to get to them. They won't do farm calls with how far I am from them. It makes it hard.
