| I saw quite a while ago on here a company that had nice affordable barn lighting, can anyone help? What is everyone else using? Thanks |

Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | Just an FYI -- I have several solar-powered motion lights outside the barn -- they scare away critters....and one facing our hay storage area -- to keep critters out of the hay. It's amazing how well those have worked to keep critters away. |

Location: North Dakota | LED lights are the cat's meow in my opinion. A little more of an investment money wise, but so worth it in my opinion. They'll light your barn up like daylight after dark and I really like that feature, since most of the time I'm in my barn during the winter months, when it gets dark at 5. |

WORD. I bought a bundle of ten LED lights off Amazon - maybe $25 a fixture? I hung eight in the hay/tractor barn and you can do surgery in there at night. It's so bright I have to let my eyes adjust after turning them off so I can walk back to the house. |

I also have LED's. I only have 2 fixtures in my barn isle and it is SO bright. I feel bad having to turn them on in the mornings when I have the horses up because it makes them squint. It's so cute though lol. |

Ditto - triple - for LED's! Not only are they less expensive than you'd expect they use less electricity and are not heat producing, thus safer. These days you can get bulbs of any size, color frequency and wattage. So you could have really bright on a switch and lower on motion detectors. This is what I do so I don't lose my night eyes for feeding in the winter. I have motion detector in the hay barn with a yellower hue (3000) and aimed at the ceiling. |

Location: North MS | I have Sylvania LED fixtures. Enclosed. A bit more expensive at $100/light but it lights up the world. I need to clean my stall walls apparently. My husband installs a lot of these in sweet potato storage buildings and they have had zero issues with them. Very dusty environments so they have been put to the test. We buy through IAC (based out of Memphis, TN) but other electrical stores carry them. I believe I saw them on Amazon or eBay reasonable too. 4’ Lights |
