I know there are many that are in desperate need of prayers I almost feel bad asking for more but I know the power of our prayer warriors here. The gentleman that donated a beautiful buck mount for our Jacob when he was going thru chemo had a severe heart attack last week and is in critical condition at the hospital,  he technically passed away but was brought back and they believe there us some brain damage but his heart is beating on it's own now, hes got a long road to recovery, hes a very close friend of my husband and an extremely talented taxidermist here in our small town. His name is Randy, his kids go to school with ours. Awesome family. Tonight we found out my husbands cousin, his young daughter was in a terrible barrel racing wreck, we werent given all the details yet, but shes at the er and I've just heard thru the grapevine it involved her horse and concrete,  so not good, at all. I'd like to ask for prayers for both of these families as well.

Update on the young girl... she was life flighted to the hospital, her horse ran away with her and hit the concrete somehow and went down, this is 2nd hand information so I dont have all the details as of yet. But her dad did post that her ct scan is showing to be clear from major injuries...  facial fractures but it appears she will make a full recovery, shes being moved over to children's hospital this evening.

Latest I know... they will be waking up randy today, hes been in a coma... his heart is working on its own and the seizures have stopped. I pray there is minimal brain damage and that he will be able to make a full recovery, hes got a long road ahead but hes alive and his body is trying to function on it's own. Good signs! And for the young lady, I got more of the story... she made her run, apparently they had changed up the setup of this arena, she exited the pen and the horse just took off with her at a dead run and hit the pavement, fell and she was slammed into the ground. Shes got several teeth knocked out and a broken nose, and facial lacerations and probably a terrible headache. Considering the circumstances,  shes quite lucky that's all that happened to her. I cannot imagine how her parents felt watching so helplessly. Prayers for the poor dear, shes frightened and doesnt remember much. But shes going to be ok. Thank you for adding them to your prayers

Prayers for Randy and your young family member, as well as their families.   I have to ask--what about her horse?

Hes a little banged up but ok. It's still not 100% clear exactly what happened. The curb chain was broke on the bridle but that could have happened in the fall. They think he may have spooked or something set him off to run like that. So much swelling has come up on her face they have to wait to see if she will need surgery, shes going to need to go to an oral surgeon to see about replacing the missing teeth.

Hes my husbands age, 47. Doesnt drink, smoke or drugs, fairly active and involved heavily in our community and always has a smile on his face for everyone ... he never met a stranger. It's just so shocking a very healthy man could go into cardiac arrest like that. He wasnt feeling right while he was at the shop and luckily one of his workers called the ambulance... he actually went into cardiac arrest inside the ambulance. Had they waited and not called, who knows what would have happened. From latest update he was woken up today and seems to be healing and recovering extremely well with minimal permanent damage.  Praise God. We've spent plenty of time in his shop, at his home and he always let's my husband take our boys to his property to fish his tanks. Thank you for keeping both families in yalls prayers

I believe they were going to try to let the girl go home today but I hadn't heard if she was able to yet. Shes off heavy pain meds and just getting tylenol and ibuprofen to manage her pain which is pretty impressive! I went and rode with my trainer today, hes also ridden several horses for them and he told me her dad had just called him a few days prior asking for some help or ideas with that horse because he had been acting kinda wonky last few races. Nonetheless,  shes on the mend and I think shes definitely one tough little cowgirl!

Randy had a small setback today, his lungs arent functioning properly and he had to be sedated heavily to be treated. I dont have all the details other than what I've read or been told by others that got it from his wife, hopefully they can get him comfortable and I pray his body will function properly on it's own very soon. I pray for the drs to have the wisdom needed to help him. He was doing so well.  Thank you all for keeping them in your prayers
