| I have a daughter of DTF out of a FG dtr She’s due in May so I need something with excellent motility - I don’t want to miss her foal heat. Prefer proven stallion - I have a jr stallion in mind if I go that route. Mare was a nice Futurity horse but was hot and nervous. I’d like to try to balance that out. She’s conformationally correct and 15.2/3. Suggest away - and thank you for any input! |

| Blazin Jetolena, Epic Leader (although his babies seem pretty hot, and he doesn't seem to ship the best according to some), I'm really liking Bullseye Bullion- are you wanting to stick with barrel/race bred stallions or would you consider cow bred?

| No, cowbred is not for me. :) She’s currently in foal to BJO. I’d like an Epic but don’t want to chance missing her foal head, so he’s out. I’ve considered breeding her back to BJO but would like to try something different!!! |

| Shawne Bug Leo was already mentioned, what about Ivory James? His foals are really coming on. Slick By Design also comes to mind, but I know those OTMRs aren't for everyone. |

Location: Desert Land | I sold a really nice daughter of DTF out of a daughter of FG last year and flushed 2 embryos out of her x Shawne Bug Leo. Recip foaled out an absolutely beautiful stud colt this year. I have 1 more embryo frozen as well. I tried to flush her to ASOF and Epic Leader as well but unfortunately was not successful. |

When you said hot and nervous I immediately thought Shawne Bug Leo for you. He does well crossed on hotter mares and the one I have has the most level temperament of the three babies my particular mare hs carried. |

| Slicks top 2 crosses are DTF and FG. He is currently the #3 Futurity sire for 2019 and that does not include the Pink Buckle or the Blue Collar Futuruties! With some luck he may move up even higher. |

| I'd probably go with Shawne Bug Leo.
Maybe not 'popular' enough, but I really like the Fiesta's Gotta Gun horses I've been seeing. All the ones I know have outstanding solid minds and are 1D horses in different parts of the country. I have been tossing him around for my hot, hot FG daughter if I breed her again.

Our FGG weanling had such an ego before she was pulled off her momma! She definitely thought the world revolved around her, but now she is just the sweetest, grittiest, most gorgeous filly. I would literally take seven more just like her. He crossed my mind on this post, but since the OP said no cowbred, I figured he was off limits with the Playgun in there. |

I was nervous when we crossed our mare on Slick with all the OTMR talk about them not being the easiest horses and our colt up until about a year had a very big ego. BUT I have been more than pleased with him overall. He is out of a mare who can be hot and very sensitive and while he is only a coming 3 year old now the trainer fell in love with him during his 90 days this summer. He said our colt was very laid back, thought through new things instead of just reacting and really just did all the right things. I am a giant chicken and do not get on things that might even think about the option to hump up but I actually rode him a few times before I quit riding with baby #3 on the way and he was super easy to climb on and just ride. The trainer even nicknamed him Maynard for his easy going, laid back personality LOL I will be picking Slick again for sure :) Highpoint keeping the stud fee affordable is also a huge thing for us |

Playgun horses are awesome! I would totally second Fiestas Gotta Gun! |

Shawne Bug Leo is known for calming hotter mares down, he ships really well, is managed by one of the best farms we feel like and they are always eager to help you or answer any questions that you may have with Christi at Highpoint. He has sired 100% 1D money earners on DTF daughters. This is one of his best crosses. Two are arena record setters, futurity money earners, one was Josey Top 15 Finalist with being off for a year and her first run back, the other just recently finished 2nd out 789 horses in the 1st Go of the OKC Shootout in the Open, one had 5th fastest fun in the Pink Buckle Futurity this year. We strongly believe in the SBL x DTF x FG cross. It works both ways with SBL x FG (out of DTF daughter) as well. They have all been 1D money earners. His babies are the real deal if you are considering him and sell well. He was the sire of the 2017 Highest Selling Yearling in any barrel auction in US, 2018 Broodmare Sire of the Highest Selling Yearling in any barrel auction in the US, 2019 Sire of the Highest Seller in the Pink Buckle Sale, 2019 Sire of the Highest Selling Mare in the PB Sale. We also love Ivory James on FG and DTF. That has been a good cross with Kay Blandford's good horse. |
