| I haven't started feeding it yet, but I have a ton of the Exemplify en route to me. I am very excited to get my horses on this feed. I will tell you that Trey, the guy that developed the feed and owns the company, is amazing to work with. I live in Colorado, and don't have any dealers near me. He worked with me to find a way to get the feed out here for a reasonable shipping charge. |

| Trey is also the one who started the Omnis cubes. I would also like to be able to get these. They seem simple to feed but no dealers close to me here in Ardmore, OK. |

That's great! So may I ask what made you decide to go with the exemplify? I'm teetering between simplify, exemplify and the fortify... I've got one fatty easy keeper and one sr who isnt such an easy keeper .. both are very actively used. |

| I went the Exemplify due to it having the oats, and a higher amount of flax than the Simplify. The Exemplify also has the coconut meal, which the Simplify does not. I wanted the oats, because I believe that with the effort a horse has to give when running a pattern, they do need a little starch in their diet. |

| What would you all suggest on this feed for 2 retired older geldings who are in pasture 24/7 (grass not so good right not though) get hay buy 30 year old can't eat too we anymore and yes I have had dental work done, he just does not care for hay. It is probably because of poor quality of hay around these parts of Oklahoma. They both have arthritis of course so I give supplements. One an easy keeper and one a not so easy keeper. |

| I am a dealer and i feed Simplify to my whole herd. Including my 29 year old mare that cannot eat hay or grass. She also gets the Alfalux cubes. I dont have to soak any of it, and she eats it all just fine. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the feeds. The ingredient list is simple, and the horses thrive on it. Trey is absolutely amazing to deal with also. |

| It kinda bums me out the feeds come in 40lb bags. For those that feed these do you feel like you feed less of these concentrates than.. let's say... purina or bluebonnet feed? I'll use my program as an example.. I'm feeding about 4lbs of purina sr to 1 and 5lbs of strategy to another. I pay $19.99 for a 50lb bag of strategy and I'm paying $21.00 for a 50lb bag of sr. I priced the exemplify and its $16.25 for 40lbs. I think the highest priced one is the fortify and its $17.19. I hate to be a bean counter but I like to try to be as economical as possible. Dont get me wrong, I'm interested in this feed and I like the ingredients, its simple and I haven't read a bad review on it anywhere. I'll have to travel to get this feed too, which I dont mind doing, but its definitely not as convenient as running to town or tsc to grab a few bags of purina. |

Since its a concentrate you suppose to beable to feed less of it. Like the Renew feed it a concentrate so you feed way less of it. |

From what I've read people are still feeding anywhere between 5-10lbs of it per day. Unless I'm mistaken. Feed tag says feed up to 1% of body weight per day with forage. |

Did something happen to make you want to change from Purina? |

No, not at all. I'm just intrigued by the simplicity of the ingredients, less is more type stuff. I've heard really good things about the D & D but not a whole lot on here ever mention it. I'm all about giving my horses the best I can get my hands on. But it has to make sense from a financial standpoint too. I like to buy my feed all at once in the beginning of the month. It helps me budget better |

Break it down to price per pound and then it won't seem so bad, I promise. |

I completely understand!! You know I'm a Purina girl, but I knew you liked it and wanted to see if you had an issue I needed to know about! Keep me posted on your research and what you decide. |

Well, I have one tiny complaint, but I have seen it in pretty much every feed I've fed.. I keep finding pieces of corn in my strategy. Which isnt a huge deal really ... I haven't seen any in the SR. feed. Just mostly the strategy. I just pick them out and throw it to the hens lol! My chunky horse turned his nose up at the plain strategy at first so I was throwing in a handful or 2 of the sr in it and he eats it up. My older horse loves the orginal sr feed, he sees me headed to the barn from the house and hes at the far end of the pasture, he will flat out run as fast as he can to the barn... dont ever call him late for supper lol! He looks great. I can see dapples, even under his winter wear! |

I've seen a piece or two of corn in the Active over the years--I pick it out and chunk it since I don't have chickens! I'm really interested to hear more from you when/if you try the new feed. |

I feel D&D Nutrition is the evolutionary development of that concept, into a foraged based, fully fortified, foraged based concentrate with clean energy and the highest amounts of healthy fats.
