| Just curious if anybody on here is still using the CurOst Products and if so what for and how is it working out for you. Don't hear much about it anymore. Or did it just get too costly for people? |

| Got too costly for me. I switched to BioStat, but daughter sells Standard Process so now I am using them until my horse doesn't need a specialized supplement. Then I will either go back to BioStar or CurOst. |

Location: North Dakota | Honestly their stuff has been life changing. I used it a few years ago, stopped because I couldn't afford it, and after trying a million other supplements my horse is back on it. He has kissing spine, SI arthritis, and is IR (he has not foundered but had some lingering front hoof pain). The Plus Performance and Tri-Gut (along with Equinety) work like nothing else to keep him sound and comfortable. He does still get corrective shoeing and shockwave therapy for his back, but I can tell a huge difference if he is off his supplements. We've been fighting these issues for 5 years and this is the best he's ever done. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I use it on mine and have for about 5 years. Really the key to keeping costs down with any product is finding out how much and what combo works best for your given horse . My soon to be 19 year old gelding that I've run barrels and do gymkhana on as well as some reined cow horse and sort off of is on the Total Support and Pure though during the week he gets 1 scoop TS instead of 2 and a half scoop of the Pure. My little mare with the kidney stones who fractured her patella in 2011 also gets a half scoop of the Pure . I move both of them up to the full scoop if they are going to get used hard in the next few days. I bounce between the Pure and OE's GamechAnger for my mare with headshakers syndrome, depends on the time of year which one is most effective, spring and early summer the Pure is, then the Gamechanger seems to be more so late summer and fall. I had decided it was too expensive a few years ago and switched to another product...that lasted about a month and a half and went back to the Cur-ost. |

| I think the Cur-Ost might be worth a try. I used Cur-OST Pure to get my 23 year old gelding with severe arthritis feeling good again. It got him moving around again in just a few weeks. Quite different than your situation but it is a strong anti-inflammatory and gets the job done! valentines day gifts for her

| I use a lot of the CurOst and it is getting quite costly for me. My 2 horses have an aray of issues from Arthritis, swelled Tendons and Pain management and inflammnation. Not to mention stomach issues. The kicker part is they are both retired and in the pasture 24/7. One is 30 and one is 23. At this point I am just not sure what to keep them on and what to eliminate to cut down on cost. I just want them to be comfortable. |

I'd try the Pure and do a half scoop of it for them...The product is $109 and like I said, I have 2 with significant issues that the half scoop keeps very comfortable for riding in general, I just bump it up to the full scoop for running them. If you order 2 products you get 15% discount on both products. I just ordered one of the more expensive products and then threw in the juice mix at like $24, got the discount and walked away with my order costing me almost $11 LESS for ordering the 2 products then if I had just ordered the 1 I needed. |

If I had a 23 and 30 year old with pain, they would be on Previcox/Equioxx pill ever day the rest of their lives. I probably wouldnt go to the expense of the curost at that point. I have used curost off and on for 5-6 years now. Mine were on the total support at 1 scoop a day after the loading dose. I decided one day about 2 years ago to go down to unlimited hay, renew gold, and forco. They look and feel as good as they did on any of the more expensive products. No ulcer issues, no molasses, no processed sugar junk. |

The 30 year old maybe but the 23 year old I'd be careful with the Previcoxx everyday, there is a large number of horses who are having kidney issues due to NSAID's, specifically Previcoxx being used that way. Just something to think about.

| I had considered the Equjioxx and in fact I do have a box that I got from my Vet. But after reading on the side effects have not given it to them. Side effects as in erosions and ulcers of the mucosa and skin and the kidney. Not willing to take that chance on them at this time as the 23 year old has occasional bouts of gas colic or stomache muscle spasms. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Not sure if you had ever seen my post on here about my mare that fractured her patella in 2011. ..long story short, mare was on Previcoxx long term and in 2014 ended up diagnosed with not only bladder stones but kidney stones also. She is doing well with the herbal protocol we have her on for her kidneys and that is also why I used the Cur-ost on her rather than bute or previcoxx. I stil use Previcoxx/Equioxx on the other horses if need be but never for more than 4 days in a row, then I run a weeks worth of the kidney herbs thru them afterwards. |

| Yes I have read your posts and that is also why I don't think I want to go the Equioxx route. They would need an every day supplement to manage the arthritis as those of us who are older realize that the arthritis "never" goes away. You can manage it as I do with massage and I also take herbal supplements and I have also been on the Nrf2 now for a month and can really tell a difference and I have also put both horses on it and I can also tell a difference. But also both of my horses have DSLD or so I have been told and since I have them on a Arthritis, Tendon and Pain formula that I get from "fortheloveofthehorse" they are maintaining plus I also give them some of the CurOst. I spend a fortune on them just to maintain them and for them to at least be comfortable in their later years. |
