What does everyone think of the 5 Star flex fit pads? Pros and cons? Do you like the regular gullet hole or the flex fit better?

I didn't like the flex fit. The front part slid down under my saddle so I went back to the regular one with the gullet hole.

I love the flex fit... switched most of my pads over to them. They work really good on my horse with a good whither.

I have liked the ones I've gotten too.  The only time I had a problem with it pulling down was when the saddle was not fitting that horse.

I probably sell more Flex Fit than I do the regular anymore.  It has become very popular with both high withers & low ones.

Thanks Roxie!  I had an appointment in town so missed this.  Run n Rate, it gives the withers complete relief, no matter what shape they are.

Had anyone tried this on a butt high young cow horse? Just curious if it worked well? I have to shim the saddle to even it out.

I've used mine on a butt high three year old. And I mean so butt high that if he tripped you had to keep yourself from somersaulting over his shoulder!

I did not prefer it on that horse, but my saddle doesn't fit like it should on him either. Like another poster said, if your saddle fits well, the pad shouldn't move at all. I use a pad with a wither cut out. Hoping he levels out soon and we can return to our regular riding gear!

I didn't like the flex fit on the 3 mutton withered horses I have but the others it worked fine. I prefer the regular gullet hole still just because of that and when unsaddling to hold it with a saddle is easier.
