All the GOP whined about for 8 years under Obama was the debt. Then they got amnesia as soon as the orange one got elected.

It was not a tax refund it was a tax rate cut across the board not just as you say the rich. And making a comparison of a tax rate cut to the national debt is like comparing a dog to a duck.

Yes, there are differences in refunds and cuts.  Please folks, learn about economics. And, sadly, some consider anyone who is able to pay their bills as 'rich'.

What about the $150 billion that Obama sent to Iran, now what do you suppose that Iran used that money for? $1.8 billon cash pay off from the Obama administration funded Iran terrorisn, so they can kill all Americans!!!!!

Leave it to ol' Jd&ez to provide a target rich comment.  I'm not responding to him, because that's an exercise in futility.  He runs and hides, once he's deposited his Yellow Dog blather.

The fact of the matter is we've spent way too much for over 20 years.  We only had a couple years of balanced budgets or surpluses back in the 90's.  Democrats say all the credit for those couple years is due Bill Clinton, but that isn't really true.  Those balanced budgets were the result of a perfect brew of factors.  One, we were at peace.  Two, we had a huge dot com bubble and amazing growth in tech.  Three, we had very large deficits early in Clinton's presidency, but those were reversed with the huge GOP landslide that took over both houses in '94. Remember, presidents do not set budgets....congress does. Four, inflation was kept in check. Five, Clinton has the smarts to move more to the right and work with Republicans.  

Since 2001, we spent like drunken sailors.  Both parties and all presidents.  Honestly, when it comes to fiscal policy, there really isn't a lot of difference between the parties.  They both spend like drunken sailors.

As to Trump's tax cuts, I'll comment later.  Jd&ez's comments just parrot Democrat talking points....typical blather.

I think her point is the AMOUNT of money, not who AGREED to the money.   She didn't mention Democrats or Republicans or certain politicians. . . . Just asking how in the world will America pull out of this.  At least that's how I read it.  

I agree that both parties spend our money as though it's their own. But being factual is not "picking on" the orange one. It's just being factual. 

In the case now the argument is not over how much, it's over who gets it. The GOP wants to give out money to the corporations and the Democrats want to give it directly to the people. Neither party is against giving it out.

As to your question, Obama should not have given our money away either. I don't excuse him just because others, like Reagan, gave our money away.

Did you listen to Nancy Pelosi yesterday. She's got her eye on stimulus money for all illegals.....you know those folks who entered our country illegally and are probably responsible for much of the spread of virus in the U.S.  Gov. Cuomo almost the same as admitted it and now Gavin Newsom is concerned about who's crossing California's southern border. How many times did I hear Pelosi and Schumer/Schiff refer to Trump in terms of "no one is above the law".   Well, 20 million illegals seem to be above the law in the eyes of a Democrat.

Small businesses will get $350 billion in guaranteed loans that can be forgiven provided they don’t lay anybody off during the weeks and months ahead. Congress also appropriated money for a variety of different situations, including extra funding for hospitals and relief for student loans.
