| The cop was charged with murder, but strangely enough the same DA that charged the cop was the same DA who ruled that a taser is a deadly weapon in a different case, so how is this not self defense??? When the suspect began resisting arrest, he was able to take the taser from the holster of the officer during their scuffle. After he ran away, he then turned around and started coming at the cops with the taser pointed at them, and that is when he was fired upon. |

The fact that should be thought of first is - the GBI has not finished their investigation. Every police officer has that right. The DA didn't follow protocol - Gasp. |

Location: Dearing, GA | I have to take a horse trailer (loaded) through Atlanta over July 4th weekend. I signed up for a concealed carry class and bought a new handgun this week because of that. The Atlanta DA messed up by jumping the gun with charges before GBI had even completed their investigation. That is the last city in the South that needs to be without a full police force in my opinion. |

| I am so proud of Atlanta for standing their ground. We want a country without law enforcement, well there ya go. 70 calls stacked up and every surrounding agency refusing to help. This has gotten wildly out of control and people need a reality check. If Brooks had escaped custody, driven drunk and killed someone, that ALSO would have been law enforcements fault. You cant win these days. If you decide to fight, you take your chances. Not just with cops but with anyone. A fight at the bar, a punch landed just right could be the end of you. Dont be a criminal as**ole and you'll be fine. |

Location: Kansas | A black Georgia sheriff said the shooting "was" fully justified. You won't see that on liberal media. These interviews are pretty well limited to FOX.

I read that Atlanta PD and dispatch usually has about 300 calls in the queue, but last night they had over 800 pending pretty much most of the night, and almost all the calls broadcasted were gone unanswered over the radio. Their dispatch was also informing the officers with belongings at each precinct/station to collect their things as soon as possible. |

Location: Texas | Really can't say I blame any of the Atlanta officers. Their DA is a real piece of work. It was 110% a justified shooting. Any officer in the situation would have done the same thing. Deadly force calls for deadly force. |

1) I am 100% behind the police officer in the shooting. He was after a fleeing suspect who had resisted arrest and had a known weapon (taken from the cops so there was no doubt he had it and what it was). He attempted to use said weapon on the cops. Force (regretably deadly) was justified.I don't know about the things he is accused of after the shooting. Has anyone seen a video of the claimed kick? I've seen a still shot- biut that could be taken out of context. A video would show the whole story. and i'm respectfully saying this 2) Please don't spread false information. If you watch the video, he did turn his head, shoulders and arm toward the police- but his body was running away. He did not turn and advance toward the police. Hence, he was shot in the back. If he was coming at them, he would have been shot from the front. In this crazy day and age, we all should be trying to spread the facts. Not the assumptions/ half truths/ full out lies the crazies are spreading. We have to hold ourselves accountable too. |
