Man no kidding, its dam if you do and dam if you dont. I feel bad for our leaders, Our Governor is having a hard time making these decisions, hes a hard working man and knows having more shutdowns is going to be the end of some business's here in Texas. I feel so bad for these people. |

Location: Illinois | We just opened some things today, like restaurants at limited capacities. We've mostly been shut down this whole time. Lots of business have permanently closed. Everyone I know has been traveling to the surrounding states, who have been open. I just went on vacation for a week to enjoy an open state. Boy it was nice to sit down and eat dinner at a restaurant and not have to wear a mask when I went into places. It's not soemthing thats going away, this virus is going to go around year after year. At some point we've got to stop living in fear of it & just suck it up and live your life. It's going to be like the flu every year |

I would say 80% of the businesses that have been closed until today are franchises & chains. We really don't have a lot of small businesses around, which is probably good. Restaurants have been allowed to do outdoor service and have set up picnic tables in their parking lots. And they've been allowed to do take out all this time. And some boutique stores have done online & pickup or you can call & order & pickup or get shipped. Salons have been open for a month now. Some small stores opened June 1 and just let so many people in. State parks have been open. It's mostly been inside dining, bars, and movie theater type places. The bars opened their beer gardens June 1 and most have been getting by fine. We defininitely won't let a bar go down without a solid fight, we're a bunch of midwest alcoholics lol. But it is sad and I have tried purchasing from smaller businesses, especially horse businesses instead of ordering from like State Line Tack or a bigger store online. If I can order the same thing from a local vendor I will, even if I have to pay more |

| Imperial county CA has a positivity rate of 25 percent ! Rest of the state is 5 percent. Imperial is right on the border of Mexico and Arizona. Governor won't come out and say it ( Pelosi is his aunt) but they are sending an immigration task force down there. The fear is many infected coming across the border for better health care. |

Location: North Central Iowa Land of white frozen grass | If I was a Govenor of a state. I would open it up and say that I am not going to destroy my states economy. If you are afraid. You need to defend yourself. Corperate America loves these shutdowns. It is killing their compitition of the small busineses. Notice that they don't have to shut down. Their sales are up 40% and they also got the PPP money on top of it. What is the sense of living in our basements if there is no economy when we finally crawl out from under our rocks. Mother Nature designs everthing to servive. We as a human race will servive this. We need to tell the politions who want their 15 minutes of fame to just get the h*ll out of the way and shut up. |

Boom! Exactly. “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” ? Benjamin Franklin

Chuck E Cheese filed bankruptcy. . .
That's about the only good news I've heard all day. Chuck-E-Cheeze is an instrument of Satan. I'm convinced it is a snapshot of life in hell. Rotten pizza and hot dogs. Those horrible singing puppets. The pens full of hundreds of plastic balls coated in snot, vomit, and poop from leaking Huggies. Screaming and yelling spoiled brats with handfuls of those tickets lining up to get their trinkets from China. I do hope they close and re-open in CHOP....exclusively. |

| So we were given the green light last month to play baseball again... we got a few games in here and there now they are shutting down again. We were scheduled to play this weekend at a pretty big venue ... the organization sent out an email saying due to the negative media, the city has shut down the ballpark until further notice. Our guys tried to get us in in another city... it was a go, then the same thing, the media got it shut down.... so now we are in our home turf fields, a smaller ball park but this city is completely separate from the bigger cities and is going forward with a tournament... they cut it down so they stay low capacity, masks are required and theyll be handing them out at the gates.. social distancing is required... I just received an email warning from the producers of this tournament saying they are aware the media will be at this tournament tomorrow to try to get us shut down ... we were told to ignore and just get inside the park... they will not be allowed inside.... geeez... I'm really starting to rethink us even going.... this will most likely be the last tournament of this season now with another shut down. But it's almost not even worth the hassle at this point. All I can say is, if anyone shoves a camera anywhere near my kids faces, I will come unglued. I'm honestly concerned that problems will arise. We've been doing just fine... playing in tourneys and some league tourneys ... it's been great ... lots of hand washing and obviously no sharing of water coolers or equipment... its be fine! I know these people that want the whole enchilada shut down will probably stop at nothing to get their way. This is a 8u, 10 -11u and 12 and 13u tournament happening tomorrow... kids ... folks had best behave..... my boys are pumped to play tomorrow... I hope I dont have to tell them they can't |

Location: Oklahoma | Im in Oklahoma and came to work this morning. I work at a casino. Heard that 2 casinos already shutdown last week and now Firelake (by Shawnee) shutdown! I can tell you its huge and very unsettling when casinos shutdown! Im not allowed to say how much they lose on a daily basis (not hard to assume lol). and yes they will probably survive after this all over. Im not stating this to feel bad for casinos but just showing how crazy that it is! To be honest I was shocked the first time that we did shutdown and for how long! We are not shutdown now nor have I heard if they are talking bout it. They did cancel a big event in a local city and therefore the rodeo got canceled. Heard yesterday that an open rodeo near me is still having theirs and they was told he couldn't have it. He said he not in city limits and to let him know how much his fine is and he still having it! If we do go thru anouther shutdown I hope rodeos and jackpots will continue to have it! I know a couple of people that own their own business that saying they are not closing down (they outside all time!) and that to just fine them. They didn't get fined the first shutdown. and they say they still sticking to it. Then I seen on the news that 2 reporters wearing maks and standing apart and talking to each other and saying how we just need to get used to being this way! I couldn't stomache it! I turned it off after they said their first line! I havent watched any news in forever! What breaks my heart more than anything is watching in the parking lot of parents with masks and putting on their kids! I hate to see kids in masks bc I gurantee you they dont really understand and they will just carry on as they grow up bc parents taught them that! Im so glad Im not in that generation! One lady got mad at my husband and a worker at lowes that they didnt have mask on well my hubby didnt have mask on and all he said in his response to her is read the box So the worker got the box and her mouth dropped opened! and the mask lady says doesnt matter what that box says you need to wear it bc of CDC. My hubby said I think I believe OSHA over CDC. and have you not heard that CDC retracting some of their statements??? Mask lady was sooo mad!!! It is frustraing that at work we dont have a choice. If I didnt have bills I would have more choices! and this has fired me up even more to get out of debt faster!!! One more thing are we going to start having to watch movies and shows with people with masks on???? I wont watch. Masks are not for the Hard of Hearing! i know personally!!!! |
