I had to "google" it ....... I guess we learn something new every day ..... Lift Every Voice and Sing – often called “The Black National Anthem” – was written as a poem by NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) and then set to music by his brother John Rosamond Johnson (1873-1954) in 1899. I don't have an opinion ...... and before today, I never even knew that there was a song attributed as a black anthem!
Who knew that there was even a Black national anathem out there, I never hear of it either as many others. I was going to look it up too but Norma beat me to it and did the work of posting it, so happy with that, lol. |

Isn't it crazy, there's a black awareness month, black tv channel, black tv shows, black anything basically...... and that's all good.....?? Well, in my book it's as racist as all get out!
