Location: Texas | OK we are thinking of relocating to the Alabama/Georgia areas. All I have heard so far is the crime is horrible there. Is it really that bad? |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | Depends on where you are relocating to. In my county we only have one red light. In the county where most people work, just one area is bad. We need more details on where the area is you are thinking about. |

Location: Texas | We haven't really decided yet. Waycross, down around Perry area is on the list. Pretty much the Southern half of the states. Thank you!

Not much crime in those areas. If I had to move in that area, it would be on the outskirts of Perry. Lots of places to barrel race close by. |

Waycross is one hour south of me.........love it.........and Perry in hour and half north........love it too......I guess I would consider neither high crime....advantages to Waycross is your like literally hour from the Georgia / Florida beaches.......as for Perry you are closer to larger cities like Macon and Atlanta....... |

| I live a little bit south of Montgomery, AL and crime isn't bad, but I live in a very rural area. It's a 20 minute drive to the nearest Walmart, hour drive to the nearest Sam's Club, our town has about 200 residents and doesn't even have a stop light... so minimal crime is to be expected- type of rural. In bigger cities like Montgomery, there is significantly more crime. You probably couldn't pay me to live in Montgomery, for that reason-among others. AL is not a bad place to live, but I don't like any NBHA districts around here. I have friends who live closer to the GA border and run in the GA districts because their shows are ran a lot more smoothly and there tends to be less drama, from what I've been told. I've only ran at a few GA district shows when I've hauled with that friend but the races were run smoothly and professionally. If I had the choice, I'd probably prefer GA to AL, but it really depends on where within the state you're considering going. |
