Take a Picture

Someone on here said there was no proof that Vetercyn did what they claimed. That is all I use now. I had a horse get a small but deep 90 degree cut on her face just above her eye. It probably needed a couple of stitches. I put Vetercyn on a cotton ball and dabbed it on the cut several times a day. I swear I could see improvement every time I checked it. Don't have pictures. I had a three month old colt get caught in the electric fence. It is that inch and a quarter white tape. I think he laid down and rolled into the fence which is always on.  Anyway, he got the tape under his back leg and up his flank. He has a serious rope burn that is about an inch and a half deep with one hole that was about two inches deep. This happened July 4. There was nothing to see to because the skin is paper thin from the rope burn. It is a wonder he didn't castrate himself. About two inches at the top of his flank has already grown together and the hole has filled in completely. I have pictures that I have taken but I can't post the from the house. Maybe if I go to town!  Anyway Vetercyn is amazing. Remember horses can milk themselves in a padded stall!

We had a mare that had a big bite taken out of her just by her tail head. I used vetercyn on it for a week & it got really infected and a horrible mess. I don't know if it works different on different horses or what, because I have heard both good and bad about it

I used it on a cat when the only thing holding her guts in was vet wrap, and she healed up nicely. It's good stuff. I recently used a silver product that seemed good too.

I have had good results with everything I have used it on.  A horse cut an L-shaped chunk the size of your hand on his neck.  Vet tried to stitch it back together and when that didn't work he just sliced the flap off.  He was on an antibiotic but I cold washed it twice a day and sprayed with the gel.  It healed great.

That silver stuff is really good too. I burned my hand to the bone a long time ago. I used Silvadene on it and it healed without a scare. It is a prescription though so had to go with Vetercyn.

I think it's the greatest product out there for wounds, etc. I won't touch furazone cream and most others I don't think work worht a ****, like the Corona ointment. I'll use Vetercyn any day on just about everything

Not the question, but if you take a spray bottle, add a tablespoon of table salt and a cap of bleach....boom vetercyn.

The last time I was in Alaska all I drank was Alaska Amber. I also didn't get eaten by a bear.

AA is the best bear repellant I have ever seen.
