| Hey there! My new circle Y barrel saddle has a 7/8 rigging. The type that has the two rings side by side. As I understand it, both sides use a latigo and you adjust each one and pull the same way for an even pull. Here is the deal , I also ordered a leather " Y" off billet that can be used if you use the saddle on multiple horses so you can adjust cinch up and down like a regular rigging. Has anyone ever used the Y off billet? How do you make the pull even on the left side when using it ?? Thank you ! |

Location: Kansas | I had to look up a Y billet. For the other side I suggest the following pic. I think if you used your Y billet on the off side and rigged like this it would be a consistent pressure.

| Yep the saddle has the 2 rings like that both sides. Not the back cinch part though. I will upload a picture but circle Y makes a regular Y shaped billet for the off side so you don't have to use a latigo. I will try and get a pic tomorrow. Thanks. |

I did a little research ... found and ordered a couple Y off billets. Thanks for asking your question as I happily learned something new. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I never knew about these either and I found a few different styles. This one is a single ply leather. If I did order I would make sure its a double ply leather, I dont like single ply leather. See we learn something new on here quite offten , lol.. heres another style

Yes!!! I have the lower one !!! My origional qiestion is that with double ring rigging your supposed to snug up BOTH sides exactly the same. With the leather Y off billet you can't really do that. Just want to make sure my saddle pulls evenly. I will keep trying it out. Thanks! |

I think if you are adjusting from both sides even using the Y billet you are going to still get even pressure...since you can adjust so that your cinch (for different horses) is still in the correct placement. I purchased the true Y off billet and I think that will help with the even pulling issue. Time will tell. Keep us informed. Thanks |
