Today is
Finally getting another corgi baby (I lost my first 3 years ago) this fall and I'm trying to decide on a name for him. My first was Gus (after Augustus McRae). I prefer one syllable names but usually end up with several nicknames for their nicknames haha.
Which do you like? Or do you have better ideas?
Pete (Pistol Pete)
Poke (Cowpoke)
Loop
Slick
Flit
Wait until you meet him to name him.
I always go by their personalty so I would wait and see what fits...
I know what you both mean. That makes it easier but the breeder can start using the name if I pick it early. I think I got it figured out anyway. Thanks for the replies! :)
What did you decide to go with?

Curious aswell
The breeder had been calling him Waylon and the more I thought about it the more I liked it! So I said let's just call him Waylon! Haha. My first corgi was Gus (after Augustus McRae) so I thought Waylon is pretty country sounding too. It's not one syllable but it just felt right. Plus, when he's in trouble I can call his full name Waylon Augustus! LOL
Now you just need a Willie!!!!

Yes!! My dachshund is named Merle sooo I'm doing pretty good on my naming theme I guess lol.
My daughter named our Boston Terrier puppy Taka. It's Japanese for Hawk.
Gus is perfect (we had one) and I'm with you on short names. We have a Patch and a Max and a cat named Jasper.
