I had to run over and give my granddaughters horse a shot of banamine for colic symptoms.  I gave the shot per vet but ended up going ahead and taking him into the office.  He was running 104 temp and very painfull.  She put a cath. in so it would be easier for my son to give more meds throughout the night.  He was the dickens to give a shot to!!!!!  Praying that he gets movement in that still left side

My son text me after he gave him his 12am meds, said he seems to be doing a little better, still no poop though.

He took him back to vet this morning.  He does have some gut sounds on the side that he didn't before so that is a plus.  They are re-oiling him and giving him fluids.  Praying this does the trick!  Thank you all for your Prayers

They did a rectal last night.  I can't remember if they said the bands were just really tight or if they said hard.

Yadi is needing more Prayers!  He is over the colic episode however he isn't peeing.  Blood work today showed no kidney damage so that is good.  They put a uretha catheter in today and got a syrup like fluid out.  They are going to push the IV fluids on him all night.

Our 4H Fair horse show had to be postphoned until this Saturday because of the VSV this summer.  She is going to have to ride my little heading horse.  She has rode him but isn't as comfortable on him as she is on Yadi.  This isn't how we wanted her first year of 4H to be, hard on a 7 year old to understand it all.

They gave him fluids all through the night and said he was much better this morning.  Kyle said he thinks they are going to let him take him home tonight and then continue on antibiotics.  Thank you for your Prayers!!!

Prayers for your granddaughter and her horse.  Sure hope she does good on your horse.  Being a grandma myself, I would be tuning up & kid proofing the heading horse for her, at least you have a few days.  My experience with my child was if I put him on something he was a little scared of he listened better and did great.  Good luck hope it all works out.

I have got him on the "get him wore out" exercise plan. LOL  She has rode him before and likes him but since they got Yadi she hasn't been on him.  They came and rode him tonight but I wasn't home so I didn't get to watch.

They did get to pick up Yadi and take him home which is a blessing. hopefully he will continue on the healing path.
