Location: Sunny Florida | She is and always will be a national treasure. I don't care if your a democrat or a republican this woman fought for equality. She is one of my daughters idols, if only we had more RBGs for our sons and daughters to look up to. This is a sad day for America.

Location: Sunny Florida | It is said a person who passes away on the Jewish High Holidays can be looked at as a "Tzaddik'' - a righteous and saintly person. Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on the first night of Rosh Hashanah. RIP to a Tzaddik. |

87 is too long for sure. Remember during the Obama speech when he openly rudely insulted the Supreme Court judges sitting right in front of him. Didn't bother her, I believe she was asleep. |

Many young women looked up to her as a role model as she fought her way through the ranks of "men" ..... She was one sharp cookie until the end ..... RIP

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | In 2007 the Supreme Court upheld a ban on Partial Birth Abortion. RBG wrote a dissent. She was not in favor of the ban. She certainly wasn't protecting the rights of the babies that were being killed in this Partial Birth procedure....some of whom were no doubt female. So while I can respect her zealous duty to the position she held until the very end...there are aspects of her tenure that I hope will be different with her successor. |

I'd like to hear from Bear on this. I looked it up and it was hard for me to understand but sounded like they extract the fetus and destroy it before it clears the birth canal. If you'll remember Ginsburg also made many disparaging remarks about Donald Trump, then like Hillary and her deplorables remarks had to backpeddle and apologize. As a Supreme Court justice you're not "supposed" to be biased.

(1) the term “partial-birth abortion” means an abortion in which the person performing the abortion— (A) deliberately and intentionally vaginally delivers a living fetus until, in the case of a head-first presentation, the entire fetal head is outside the body of the mother, or, in the case of breech presentation, any part of the fetal trunk past the navel is outside the body of the mother, for the purpose of performing an overt act that the person knows will kill the partially delivered living fetus; and (B) performs the overt act, other than completion of delivery, that kills the partially delivered living fetus; |

Location: Kansas | We watched a delivery right here on BHW on one of these threads where a late term living and kicking baby was delivered all but the head and they severed the spine at the neck to kill it. It was horrible. |
