My horse is on equioxx everyday for now as recommended by the vet which I mentioned in a previous post. I was thinking about ordering pure yucca as well since it is a natural pain reliever and anti-imflammatory but should I bother since he is on equioxx?

I would not, Yucca and devils claw will shred a horses stomach pretty easily.

I don't know about Yucca but I do Equioxx and Grand HA and my horse is doing AMAZING on that combo.

My mare definitely acted like she wasn't quite sure where you feet were the first 2 days...

Not sure, probably until his hocks fuse.

He has been on it for a month and he has not had any coordination problems.

Since we are trying to fuse his hocks I don't think I should give HA? The vet is not trying to save cartilage at this point.

Mm yeah I couldn't say. I use it for arthritis and kissing spine.

I have used a purified yucca extract in flex formulas in the past. The active is Saponin. In its purest form I have had good results when blended in a fairly complex formula that I made for, was marketed by, Absorbine as Flex+. They later changed that formula, but the original was clinically proved very effective. I would not feed ground yucca plant to horses.
