In spite of all the pundits, all the polls, all the predictions, and the malignant discourse throughout the country, we all woke up this morning with the realization that we are exactly where we were yesterday morning - a deeply divided country. I don’t see that changing.
If President Trump holds on to his leads and if the legal battle is ultimately won, and if the senate remains in Republican control, then I’d consider that a successful night under the circumstances.

After all this, there is one glaring takeaway, as far as I’m concerned. We can no longer rely on pollsters, polls, and the mainstream media. If we were to believe the mainstream media and the polls, last night should have been over by 8pm and we would have seen an electoral landslide. That didn’t happen and we remain in limbo.

What I am driving at is best illustrated in this speech by JFK from nearly 60 years ago. Nobody has since stated this more clearly or more eloquently. The importance of a free, impartial press in the preservation of this republic is so important that the press is the only business mentioned in our Constitution. That’s why it is referred to as “the fourth branch of government, or “The Fourth Estate”. There’s an even more ominous warning contained within his message - that of what Kennedy called “secret societies”. Today, the mere musing over the very existence of these secret societies would draw immediate name-calling such as “conspiracy theorists”. Half the people in America would seek to destroy, cancel, or censor anyone openly merely verbalizing his musings on this subject. To my way of thinking, this unfortunate reaction is symptomatic of the failure and dysfunction in our media. JFK was no whacko. He didn’t wear a tin foil hat. He wasn’t paranoid, nor was he a wild conspiracy theorist. He was right then, and he is right today.
That’s what has led us to where we are today.

Biden will work towards unifying the country. As opposed to pumpkinhead fanning the flames of division. JFK would condemn the Q-Anon, 4-Chan, 8-Chan, Proud Boys, Alt-right and the KKK as the terroist threats they are. ANTIFA too. There is no place in our country for groups like that and everyone knows it excpet for impeached president trump. 

What I will never understand is how a man with no loyalty to anything or anyone inspries so much loyalty. How a man completely void of character gets some really good people to vote for him. 

Never seen anything like it in my lifetime. As bad as reagan's politics were to me I always thought Reagan was a good man. An honest man with a burning desire to leave the country better than he found it. Same for Daddy Bush. As bad as he was at governing he always seemed to be an honest man. 

If Biden holds on to this election it won't be because he won it. It's because trump lost it. 

I do hope you are correct in saying that he will work toward unity of the country BUT I disagree that the division was caused by Trump.  In my opinion Obama wins that prize along with his hateful wife.  Trump just pointed the division out and didn't worry about hurting anyones feelings.  I feel like Trump does truely love this country.

Biden doesn't scare me near as much as Harris does.  I'm hoping that some of the things they have said they will do was just talk but time will tell.

I'm having a hard time making the connection between what you said and my message.  Of course you didn't want to miss an opportunity to throw barbs at "pumpkin head". I get that.  Did you even bother listening to JFK's speech?  That was my takeaway from this election.  We have a media that bears no resemblance whatsoever to the kind of media JFK envisioned.  Our media is devoid of any impartiality, and that includes the majority of polls, which are media driven, media owned, and media operated.  You condescended to acknowledge that "some good people" supported the President.  How magnanimous of you.

We had the channel on CBS last night and I couldn't believe how bias they were, it was blatent!  I thought it was so bad that I sent an email to CBS.  Those women were horrid acting bout him.  Now I know why we just watch the local news sometimes and never watch those national nightly shows.

We are truely in very sad times and I can't say that the future is looking bright.  I just Pray that our grandkids get to enjoy at least some of the freedoms that we grew up with.

138K ballots were dumped in Michigan in the middle of the night.  All went to Biden, none to Trump.  In Nevada 10,000 ballots are deemed to be non-residents.  In Philadelphia poll watchers, Republican, were not only removed from their task but put behind a barrier so they couldn't see a ballot even with binoculars.  

Don't ever forget Nancy Pelosi's comment the other day.  "No matter what the end count is, Joe Biden will still be president. "   This isn't a myth.  I saw the soundbite and it should be on billboards.  

This election is being stolen.  It's why Joe Dementia has been so super confident that he will be residing in the White House where he would need a guide to find the bathroom.  

That's the problem.  My memory goes all the way back to the 50's.  I remember having to sit and watch the Kennedy-Nixon debates in 1960.  I remember Walter Cronkite as the "most trusted man in America".   He reported the news and controversies.  During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam in 1968 he actually went there and reported from the front lines, so he could observe for himself.  There was enormous unrest in the US over the War as well as race.  He had to see for himself.  
We were all being led to believe we were winning the war, based on body counts.  In the end, after several days reporting from the front lines, he ended up being transported to his hotel in a helicopter, accompanied by 12 GIs in body bags.  In his final report back home, Cronkite famously said that the best we can expect from this bloody war was a stalemate and that the only option was to negotiate an honorable peace.  That was very very shocking, and not a very popular position to take back then.  Up until then, it was well known that Cronkite strongly supported the war.  When he gave his final report from Vietnam everyone was shocked.  LBJ himself turned to his press Secretary and famously said "When you've lost Cronkite, you've lost America."  Not long after that, LBJ announced he would not run for another term.  Nobody cared about Cronkite's party affiliation back then.  Truth is he was a Democrat his entire life....nobody knew, and nobody cared.

We don't have that anymore.  The media is a bunch of conscripts bound to an extreme liberal ideology.  Included in this group is, of course, big tech and social media.  The former Soviet Union also had their own media.  It was called Pravda, and it was vitally important in keeping the propaganda going to keep citizens in line.  Anytime someone made an attempt to protest or expose the truth they were liquidated, or sent to a labor camp.  That's exactly where we are headed. 

If ya'll happen to have facebook and happen to see "watch the water," think about it. Makes a lot of sense and explains very well why this could be being drug out....but also yes, media sucks. They're about 1% accurate about some of the things they share with us. The rest is pulled out of their ass with no credibility and it'll only ever show one side of the story

My takeaway---the Dems overreached in the cheating dept. because they felt that they had to. I compare it to a kid that never goes to class but then gets his hands on a copy of the final exam and doesn't miss a question---it throws up some red flags.

.........and another take.  All the rioters, who need their butts kicked, said this was only going to happen if Trump won; however he hadn't been declared a winner yet they went ahead and started their insane destruction anyway.  Living proof this is coming from way deeper than an anger at Trump.  I smell George Soros and foreign intervention.

Do you have a reason to believe Biden will unify our country? Honest question because the speeches I have seen he favors one side (i am sure to get their votes) but definetely not feeling unity. I do hope someone works on the division, no matter who wins.

Secondly, Trump isnt a lot of peoples favorites. What annoys me, typically it is personality conflicts. You can not like someones personality and agree they get s*** done. I do like his harsher personality, I respect that but I have a similar personality. 

However, I dont know how people can ignore all of what Trump has done. Our economy is doing well, he participates in our military services, he was overcoming Covid and continued to work. I think that shows his commitment and loyalty to our country. 

I am not partial to "a side" but if the democratic side could get a halfway respectable person into the race, I think people would consider it. Biden has been in politics for 47 years, why would we give him more power when he hasnt done anything? People are too busy hating trump that they dont see that toxicity they want to replace him with.

I find it richly ironic and obscenely hypocritical how liberals are calling for "unity".  Where were they for the last 4 years?

They wanted to riot, loot, and burn for the past 6 months.  They wanted to devote their efforts at Trump-hate for 5 years.  Unity?  Really?  I think most liberals look at conservatives as mortal enemies, and now most conservatives are looking at liberals the same way. Calls for "unity" run shallow and disengenuous.  We are at war, for all intents and purposes.  There won't be unity....China is happy.
