What are your go to exercises at home to improve your response and timing in a run? Even mental exercises.  Currenlty using the 4 barrel set up and singing Who let the dogs out in my head during warm up so I don't over think my run.lol

I have a fairly new horse, about 6 months and I am not clocking near what the horse was clocking when I bought her.  I know time and hauling will help but with her running style different from my old guy I need to develop a feel for her.  My husband videoed my last run and it is obviously me getting in her way.  Most noticeable are the huge pockets I am giving her that she doesn't need.

We are both off R & R today and itching to get back in the saddle.  My new season starts in January.  Thanks in advance!
