Anyone feeding it?

You said you wont use BlueBonnet Feeds anymore..

Unfortunately I’ve had to go back to feeding Bluebonnet.  It’s either that or Purina.  Bluebonnet is better than Purina.  But I will check the mfg. date before I buy. 

I think BlueBonnet is just about the best feed out there, I've been feeding it for 22 years or more.. And the people that work for BlueBonnet are the best, always been able to answer any question I had for them about the feed I'm feeding.

I know several that feed it and really like it, but ive also heard they feel like they need to feed more of it to maintain body condition. Guess it just depends on the horse and workload. I gave it a good try and went thru about 4 bags on my horse and he became itchy... not sure why or what exactly he was reacting to in it but I decided to put him back on TC lite anyway because hes not in a bunch of work right now and hes a very easy keeper. But after I took him off the equiliene the itching subsided and he quit wrecking my fences 

I feed it to 5 horses. Range in 2-23yrs old. 
my 2 and 6yr old get 6lbs a day. My husbands heel horse my daughters 23yr old and one  other gets 4lbs a day. Some are only on coastal. Some get coastal and small flake of alfalfa. Other then the 23yr old the horses are getting rode 4x a week and been getting ran 2-3 times a weekend. They are all healthy weight, look amazing and shiny. My 2yr old is now off at trainer. 
I'm feeding the same amount as I was on the Sr therapy. But I wanted the extra fat and gastric support. Only thing I pair it with is Stride animal health lifeline, turbo mag and ortho max. 

I had one itch about 30 days after he got on it. Did one bucket of vit E/C and GI Calm and have had no more issues. He quit itching within 2 days on him being on it. He has been off the supplements for 4 months now. 

Doesn't the procare contain the lifeline in it already? I loved the concept of this feed but his itching became intense. It wasn't just tail rubbing. He was itchy all over, like I've never seen. Had a fecal done on him at his last vet check and he was negative on his epg my vet was really impressed with his condition but the itching was terrible. A feed change was recommended to see if it would help him. There was no hives or anything like that .. it was just really odd. 

Yes it has half a dose in it. We never changed feeds on my guy just addresses the itching. Once we put him on the E/C and GI Calm itching/allergies have been gone. Now he just gets the lifeline and other two supplements for joint and ph balancer/electrolyte 

Stupid question.  But is a 3 qt scoop 3lbs of the Equilene Pro Care?

Ill measure when I get home but I think when i measured it out when it first came out it is close to 4lbs. But it also depends on the 3qt scoop. Ill measure both that I have and let you know

How much of the lifeline are you giving?  Doesn’t Equilene Pro Care have lifeline in it?

I still give 2 scoops of Lifeline. I'll double check when I get to the store. I don't remember exactly off the top of my head. 

I started it just before Christmas and my horses seem to be doing really well on it. I give 4-6 lbs a day along with HayRite cubes. 

I've been feeding it since it came out and really like it. 

I have been feeding one of mine the Pro Care and have been very happy with it.  She was getting too hot on the Omega Force and since I switched to the Pro Care, I've noticed a big difference.  I've been really happy with all the horses I have on BlueBonnet.
