Today is
I’m wanting recommendations on a small manure spreader, that can be pulled with 4wlr. Brand, features, anyone have one for sale near Nebraska?
Check out ABI equipment.
i have a Roda 25 bu. Its a load for my polaris 500 when full. That spreader has been a beast for 15 years. but sadly it is not made any longer. Mine is perfect for my 5 horses and mini. One overnight in the stall = a full load to run off. A weeks worth = one load per stall. Be sure that you have lots of ground to spread on. We try and use what we dont cut for hay or our pastures. If you do spread on your pastures test them every couple years. We have to add a lot of lime and areate them but we are a small acreage. We also try not to use the horse manure on horse hay. Luckily we can swap the hay ground we spread on out to the cow hay and their ground for horse hay.
I looked them up once. They are expensive. Two solutions. Rent a dumpster or pile it and burn it.
We have a Frontier brand spreader. It is a larger spreader, but easily pulled with a four wheeler. As long as it is ground driven, pulling should not be an issue.
Thank you all for your comments!
Look at www.newerspreader.com. but like the others, they aren't cheap.
I had a NewerSpreader once, probably 20+ years ago. It sure didn't cost then what they are showing now. I did have to buy an add on agitator because the manure and shaving would "tunnel". And since it was ground driven it would just slide across frozen ground instead of turning. I let the new owners keep it when we sold that property.
It was OK. I want to say it was around $500 back then. I would have another one at that price. Not at the price they are advertising now.
We have a Country Lawn & Garden Products spreader. Works great behind our Gator. It's small enough I can push it around the barn and use it almost like a wheelbarrow.
