I am curious on your thoughts on President Bidens actions/policies thus far?  A lot has seemed to unfold in the first week of his presidency.  I would ask Biden voters in my personal life, but to be honest, they are quite hostile and defensive when it comes to politics (I get it) and I just don't want that argument.  I didn't vote for Biden, but I was optimistic about it.

I am being genuine in wanting to know how you feel, not snarky. Please do not fight each other in the comments

I think Biden is doing the best he can do under the circumstances he inherited. He can't fix all the wrongs of the previous administration overnight. Especially in the middle of a terrible pandemic that the previous administration had ignored and left no plan in place.

He really hasn't done anything yet. He has at least changed the tone from the white house to adult instead of the immature rantings coming the last 4 years. Biden is a moderate. He is going to govern from the middle. But first order of business is the pandemic. And it should be.

Boiled down to the nitty gritty, you have no answers, just 'good feelings'.

I'm curious. This is not an attack on you. You know me and you know that's not what I intend.

I voted for Trump both times, knowing he had some rather obvious character flaws, and I definitly did not agree with some of his policies or the words that came out of his mouth. I did not appreciate or approve of how he approached/handled some things. I'm pretty sure you know I would have slapped a muzzle on him and broke his twitter finger if I could have. I knew that I didn't vote for a polished politician. But I felt that overall, he was trying to get back to taking care of America and the American people first. And he said a lot of things that I honestly felt, but was too diplomatic to say out loud.

I really do believe that we need to take care of the environment. We are doing a lot of damage to the planent we live on. But how in the world can it be good for the US with the unemployment rate and economic crisis, to shut down the pipeline work? The initial jobs lost? The trickle down effect in that area with other jobs associated with the pipeline (materials, resturants, lodging)? The potential to go back to being reliant on foriegn oil? The potential price swings affecting the entire US?  I honestly dont get how this was a decision with the American people's best intrest at heart.

Maybe you can explain the other side of this decision and help me understand.

“2pm yesterday marked Biden's 50th hour in office. How are all of my liberal friends feeling?
Let's take a look at the Biden/Harris administration --
- A loss of 57,000 jobs in oil.
- Ended energy independence for the United States.
- Canada and Texas are suing Biden.
- Antifa (just an idea right), continue to riot and burn down Portland and Seattle.
- Sent our troops that were in DC to sleep on the floor of a parking garage, in freezing temps, with cars parked there and one bathroom. But the WH made them cookies
- Created a new glass ceiling for girls to hurdle, ruining so many chances for scholarships with his "progressive" transgender programs allowing boys to compete against girls.
- Created a new federal property mask mandate, which he broke countless times already.
- Is now allowing illegal immigrants to be counted for representation in congress.
- A complete halt on student loan forgiveness that he promised.
- A complete halt on the $2000 stimulus program he promised.
- He shot down a Trump admin order to lower the cost of insulin.
- He shot down a Trump admin order to lower the cost of epinephrine.
- Rescinds Trump order banning Chinese Communist involvement in US power grid
- $1.6 billion in gross wages lost.
- Admitted he has no plan and can't do anything for the virus.
And JUST TODAY - 8 Chinese bombers, 4 fighters, and 1 sub-hunter just breached Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone, crossing the Taiwan Strait
Everything they've done in THREE DAYS has benefitted other countries and hurt Americans.
But HEY, at least Biden hasn't tweeted mean words. And, we have a woman Vice President.”

His words are so comforting.  Yesterday he remarked about masks being more important than vaccines.    The guy is totally obsessed with masking.

Per what I have read....................The symbolism behind masking is admitting defeat to a Victorous Organization. Or something to that effect. Anyway Ya'll get the idea, that wearing a mask is submission. This is per historical symbolism that I have seen commented upon.

Ya never know. Sometimes an individual is more likely to talk through something when not feeling directly attacked. I'm perfectly capabaly of having a conversation with someone whose point of view I don't agree with. Sometimes you change your mind- sometimes you end up seeing the other side - sometimes you walk away agreeing to disagree with no hard feelings. Since I wear big girl panties- it takes a bunch to get them in a wad. I have a feeling that JD&EZ is completly capable of having a conversation even if we disagree. Especially if the peanut galleries from both sides pipe down and let the conversation happen.

Honestly, I did NOT vote for Biden.

However, I didn't think that the first week would be this bad.   Cutting the pipeline and re-joining the Paris deal are bad news.

My heart breaks for all of the girls in sports who are dang good athletes, but simply won't be able to outdo a male who grows his hair out and says he's gal.   Not to mention when grown men "gay" or not are in locker rooms with them.

Not to mention spending millions to send to another country to help them build a border wall and then wanting to rip ours down.

I just saw a congolomeration post on FB about Twitter exploding with unhappy Biden voter posts.  Mostly regret with my same sentiments.  Didn't think it would be this bad, can't believe he turned on us (union voter), he said this, but did that, types of comments.

If voters followed the campaigns Biden told us exactly what he was going to do,  and he is doing it now.  I do not understand the regret thing, Biden voters should have known what they were voting for and are reaping the "benifits".  He does have a 47 year track record.

I did not vote for Biden.

Even if the Biden voters didnt vote for Biden, he still would have won.. The Dems made darn sure he was going to win no matter what, and we all know what the no matter what meant. Trump was going to lose even with having the most votes, Biden would still win even with the least amount of votes.

Even if the Biden voters didnt vote for Biden, he still would have won.. The Dems made darn sure he was going to win no matter what, and we all know what the no matter what meant. Trump was going to lose even with having the most votes, Biden would still win even with the least amount of votes.

I agree.

They stole the presidency.  They stole the senate seats.

But I would like to see just how happy our Biden "orange man bad" supporters feel now.     I sure hope they don't wish for $5-7 fuel, lots of illegal immigrants taking up space, jobs, etc and our country being sold out.

My history with knowing the individual for 40ish years and the interactions I have had with said individual trumps anything I've read on this forum- and I've read a LOT from both sides. Because I know the actual person and I've had actual conversations.  Too much "s**t" likes to get stirred on this forrum for me to take it seriously. I always try to remember that it is a real person sitting on the other side of the screen. Is it fun to spar? sure! Is it ever personal? Not with me.
