You won't get a true average on here. We are all old farts.

Well this makes me feel a little better, I'll be 45 this month and I'm just now starting to start to get serious! As in serious, I mean finally going to a clinic for help, fine tuning, so I can finally go enter

I'm 39 and my mom is 63.

I think it'll be hard to get an accurate average.

 If you look at NBHA, there are kids running in youth from probably 5-18.

Open can be from 5-95.

Seniors 50-95.

I'm guessing your baby boomers will probably be closer to the highest average because there were more of them born than at any other time. lol

Love it!!!

And it's not that I am trying for a accurate number for the entire world here lol... I am just curious as to who is on BHW and the average age here.. I don't really care how accurate it is over all... ;

It is awesome and inspiring!  I was trying to remember who the oldest NFR racer has been in the past?  June? Martha? Mary? I need to do some homework!

Congrats to you, very impressive.  Since I don't barrel race I didn't answer the poll.  I sure admire you girls having the D races.  What a way to keep it fun, in my younger years I would have hated it.  I won my first belt buckle in 1964 and my last (in cutting) in 2008.  I have changed events and quit (never sold totally out) so many times. I hate to hear of some young people thinking of quitting.  Sometimes for me it's hard to decide which event I liked best or had the most fun.  Also some years were really hard because I train my own and sold the good ones to pay bills.  I also discovered by reading this thread that I used to show youth (back then we showed in everything) with Mary Burger, I'm a few years younger, but the only division was 18 & under.  I have always rooted for her (because I root for old people) but didn't realize till now who she was before she got married or where she showed.

Times have changed so much... I remember the novice classes as well as it was 18 and under, now they have peewee, youth and senior classes or side pots.  The D's have been a game changer for barrel racing but that is super cool you had cutters too!
