| I have an older sundowner trailer and my saddles always fall off the saddle rack! Any ideas for an easy fix to prevent this? Should I just like strap them in? Lol it's just annoying. |

It didn't have a saddle rack, so I put one of them 3 tier ones in, and I just put a bungee from the top tier to the bottom one. That keeps pads and saddles on the 2 bottom tiers on.

I tried, I think it worked a little better but still fell off most of the time. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | My racks are carpeted too and never had a saddle slide off the racks, but I'm the type that takes turns really slowly and stop easy and my take offs are smooth and slow. And I also put a 3 tier rack in my first stall of my trailer when I haul hay and feed to the bigger over night races and my saddles never fell off that rack either and its not carpet, this rack is built thicker so that helps with the saddles. If you have those hard plastic racks glue carpet to them in strips are cover the whole thing. |

My husband must be the worst driver ever because not only did my saddle fall off the rack... the entire rack broke off! Bahahaha!! I couldn't believe it. Hahaha.. its an older trailer and stuff is just breaking left and right every time we pull it. Minor things here n there... probably will be upgrading soon. He's getting tired of fixing stuff every week. But yeah.. I truly think my horse knows who is behind that wheel. I'm a lot more cautious and slow going. Carpet on the saddle racks should help with the slipping, I'd think. Mine are slick .. and my saddle will fall off typically... |

Oh believe me, I am "driving miss Daisy" when I pull a trailer!! Drives my husband nuts..... lol. But for some reason just our 250' gravel driveway gets the saddle from the rack if I don't bungee it.... |

Ha ha ha ha ha ,, Thats just to funny. When my husband drives things get rattle around too. So if I'm taking my horses some where like to the vet and hubby gos with me he tells me to drive, he tells me he gets tired of me giving him dirty looks and biting my knuckle's while hes driving, ha ha ha ha.. |

That saddle rack thats in my first stall is built with thick tubing and I think thats what helps my saddles and pads to stay on better, the rack in my tack room has the carpet but its more like that indoor/outdoor carpet and stuff really sticks to it no matter what, even when my husband drives, lol and thats saying alot. |

Mine are carpeted, but unless you drive like a total snail they fall off. |
