Hay is going to be our biggest expense, I think... I quit feeding grain altogether recently, for health and for cost! But I'm sure my roughage sources are going to skyrocket ... again.... I was watching the news yesterday afternoon and it said there was a pool chlorine shortage, how convenient,  right before summer time huh... ?? I wanted to get our kids an above ground pool this year ... normally they are around $3-400 .. I've not seen any under $900 ... sigh... looks like the water troughs again ... keep being told its supply & demand issues. They also said with Americans having a bunch of extra money in their pockets from the stimulus and from staying home because of the pandemic people are buying more because they have more to spend

Lovely, and beyond that there are the idjits that can't pay for it outright so the cc-debt will go up again... cuz they really need all the extra stuff... they have "a right" to all that!

Corn and fertilizer is going sky high. Feed and hay is going up, for sure.

I was also told the price of soybeans is significantly gone up... I started buying soy free balancer for my horses but I haven't enjoyed any of the savings lol!!! Ah well... only a few lbs a day.. they are worth it. 

Exactly, big businesses here in CA are HIRING ON THE SPOT!!!!!! Lowes, grocery, Home depot, hiring signs up EVERYWHERE. Nobody wants to work!!! Everyone, especially here in Communist CA. is more than happy to drink from the government T___TY and not work. 

We are told we will be looking at 7 dollar corn and $200 a ton hay this fall. Drought and inmates running the assylum in DC are sure a bad combination.  Everything is going to go up....I saw where trucking companies are begging for drivers.  Everything we use comes on a truck. 

Not only is the cost of feed thats going up it will be human food included.

My nephew was planning to build a warehouse, pretty big project, but from the time he started planning to the green light, cost went up $50,000.  

Don't forget in this kamikaze administration our country is going to be feeding hundreds of thousands of migrants from all over the world.  They bring nothing to contribute.  Nothing.

We are very discouraged.   The fake meat drive, high costs of feed/fuel/equipment/vet costs....you name it, it costs more.  The 4 big packers are controlling the cattle market with foreign beef and nothing will be done about that.  The feeling among many  producers is our country is trying to drive our nations food/feed industry out of business....and not enough people care.  What we are afraid of is by the time the "silent majority" cares it will be too late to recover.  We need sane people to start standing up and running for those local offices, calling elected officials, making some NOISE! 

A restaurant in New York is banning meat and promoting high cost vegetable plates.   What?

We saw something about that this morning.  What in the world? 

Fertilizer is going sky high.  If you can find it.  Ammonia Nitrate is very hard to find right now.  Our hay man has been nice enough to let us know that he is going from $60 to $80/1K bale.  

He has expennses to cover, so we don't blame him.  

Chemicals used like Intrepid, and Elast are getting hard to find too.  

We own trucks and have them leased onto a well known company. They have show quality trucks/equipment, great benefits and pay for company drivers. This is the first time they've had to put an ad for drivers due to lack of drivers wanting a job.

You live in ID as I do and know, ads looking for harvest truck drivers are a dime a dozen.

Glanbia calls a friend of ours( excellent driver) monthly begging him to drive milk truck. Pays about $90,000/year if you include the benefits. Not sure what the take home is.

Everywhere I look I see that they are hiring and immediately! Lots of available jobs RIGHT now. Who is going to take credit for this?? Hmmmm?? I wonder... heck I even got a card in our whataburger bag today that they are hiring and need team members.

I just don't get it... plenty of jobs to be had... companies are basically begging for employees and no one wants to go to work?? How long can they live on a stimulus check? Are there more stimulus checks coming?  Yet everything is going thru the roof in price because of covid ..is all I keep hearing and reading "because of covid"  even my trash pickup service company just sent a notice saying due to covid we are increasing our rates. 

Covid is just an excuse or cover, ITS the Biden Administration that is causing the prices to be going up on everything. Covid is their go to excuse when they are to chicken to say its the Biden people's fault.. People have no cajones when it comes to Biden!!!
