Location: OH | This morning we had to put down the first foal we ever had, Im Mytee Broke, it is where my name on here came from. She was 21 and went blind about 4 -5 months ago but then after foaling she foundered from stress not being able to see the baby. We know it was the right thing to do but it still sure is HARD. |

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry to hear this, sometimes things just suck, but at least she had a good life having babys and never went hungry or been abused, things sometimes just happen.  |

Location: OH | Thanks everyone---it is still tough not seeing her every night, we all get so dang attached to these horses don't we. The only good thing is that her colt is flourishing---we were really concerned with how he would handle being weaned at 2 months, he has come through it like a champ. |

Location: Kansas | We lost a mare with a four month old baby. I was absolutely amazed at how well this independent little fellow handled it. No crying, no running around looking for her. Made it so much easier. |
