We have NFR tickets the last weekend and I need to book a hotel. I'm wondering what else is going on out there that week?  Thanks. 

There is A LOT of shopping and other events. The South Point Casino has the World Series Team Roping plus trade show. Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center will not only have shopping but things like Cowboy Channel shows and the Jr NFR. The Orleans Hotel will host the All In barrel race and the breakaway. Country Christmas at the Rio hotel will also have shopping and events. If you want things outside of horses, Bellagio Hotel has a beautiful atrium. There's a really fun go kart track right off the Strip. The observation wheel is right off the Strip as well 

The Circus Circus hotel is a total dump so I would avoid that. I like to stay at the Aria or the MGM. Excalibur is a good hotel. I like to eat at Corey's Mediterranean restaurant, it's about 20 minutes from all the hotels. The restaurant called EATILY, has the best pasta you can possibly get in Vegas . It's in the Park MGM hotel. If you like ghost stuff the haunted museum is worth every penny, it did take about two hours to go through and I felt nauseous at the end . The key to Vegas is to book everything before you even travel or you will not get in anywhere even the restaurants.

Must do:

• sign up for a players card at the Flamingo then ride the High Roller right before the night time price increase!
• Visit the Cosmopolitan, we stayed there for half of the trip. I felt like a high roller!
• Neon Museum at dark.
• Whiskey Pete's South of Vegas- they have the car Bonnie & Clyde died in.
• Circa was amazing with the Sportsbook & Lego built things. 
• When we was there reservations was required for restaurants and mask was required. If you aren't actively drinking the mask must be on. Got in trouble a few times ?? 
• Peppermill is a must! Food and atmosphere are perfect!

Cirque de soleil shows are incredible. Honestly, I enjoyed them just as much as the rodeo...maybe even a little more, sometimes! :)
