| Wow! I was late to the party but saw enough to make me not to ever want to go there for a large race. Sounded like a nightmare from all the Facebook posts. Seems like there should be an easier solution to accommodate everyone that showed up ON TIME and purchased exhibitions themselves. Should others be able to purchase exhibitions for their friends? I'm not sure but I'm thinking there may be some big changes coming in regards to that because of all the hoopla. |

| You could say that! From what I understand, and keep in mind, I was just going off what I saw, and a lot had been deleted before I could see it. Someone was accused of cutting in line and or taking money for exhibitions for other people that were at the end of the line to purchase them, there was a video.. and then they called them out on social media and created an uproar of defense ... maybe a little futurity riders vs rodeo gals or something like that. I could be mistaken. Obviously some people got very upset and hurt over it.. tons of memes were being passed around poking fun at the situation and people involved. I've never been to GR so I don't know how it's set up in the alley but people were crowding in and in the way etc etc... didn't sound very professional whatsoever. |

I actually agree. I am going to have to wean my horse (and myself) off those real quick. Luckily, where I have been going I sign up ahead of time for them and ask for late exhibition. I just do 1 to let my horse check out the pen and hes usially so stinkin fired up thinking its a real run that its become kinda pointless. I hate holding him back and starting an argument ..then there are some that do alot more than just a few exhibitions, but they sign up ahead of time when the books open and get in so it's not really any skin. I'd probably avoid pay at the gate situations all together.. im just not pushy enough to get in there. I prefer organized, paid for and going in when my name is called vs fighting for spot in line. |

| In this day and age having people stand in line like that seems kinda crazy. I KNOW there are better ways to approach it. Regardless, people still need to behave respectfully like adults, and be graciuos to the hosts. |

You're right. I think there are a lot of people already there so getting in a few passes before the richest dinosaur race begins. Yes, futurity and American Qualifier and a large open 5D ... you get all the big dogs and big futurity trainers/riders and the jackpot folks in one giant melting pot lol! What could possibly go wrong right??? The gal who called out the person or persons cutting the line or whatever has actually had to remove her Facebook account because of so much backlash.. or I'm sorry, felt the need to remove herself from social media. That's really all I know. She probably should have just gone straight to the producer about it instead of going on Facebook and calling them out. Could have saved a bunch of unnecessary drama, name calling and accusations not to mention the embarrassment to the industry. This is in Texas and I saw people from out of state heard of this and had read it on Facebook. Screen shots of comments shared and a video was floating around. .. it got totally out of hand either way. A lot of people had a good laugh about it too.. sure. There will probably forever be memes though in regards to exhibitions lol |

Well I think it was last year she made a video on IG about being bullied on tiktok and how awful it was and how bad it made her feel so I'm sure people remembered that when her post called out someone by name and caused a big social media stink. Different circumstances but I mean...kinda hypocritical i guess |

| I remember that video. Seemed like she received a ton of positive support about it too. It was obviously the wrong decision to post about it on Facebook. regardless if it was true or not. I'm sure she probably regrets doing so now. I don't think anyone deserves to be bullied, it's quite sad how quickly it can escalate on social media. I don't care how thick skinned you may think you are, words hurt and people can be so vicious especially in groups and it does affect the recipient one way or another. I'm sure all of us have, at one point, been a victim of bullying or being made fun of or targeted because this or that.. I for 1 am thankful I grew up WITHOUT social media around... it was hard enough. Now its so easy to basically ruin someone's reputation with a click of a button or start rumors and whatnot. Whatever you post can easily be screen shot and shared and will basically never go away. I think people forget that in the heat of the moment! |

2. She posted a picture of alleged offender on fb and started a dumpster fire that accomplished nothing. 3. The producer offered her after exb. that she promptly turned down 4. this is a supposed "Professional " barrel racer, NFR qualifier, blaming barrel racers for being mean and "unprofessional ". |

| Sure I agree with all that .. I'm not defending anyone, I'm just kind of disappointed in the whole mob mentality that exists in this sport and really probably all of them. She's supposed to be professional yes. It was very unprofessional how it was handled from the get go. However, everyone there, for the most part, and those involved are grown adults. acting like a bunch of rowdy middle school kids. It's a shame.... |

Because I'm nosy I always wondered what the TikTok video was that set her off, didn't she call out the PRCA too? Bullying and being mean is never ok but sometimes you just have to get thick skin and let things roll off. There is a video on FB of some comments over this. I'd be there person that seen that line and said nope, we'll wing it today |

I do admit the mean girl stuff happens (not just limited to this discipline or sport) but it didn't happen this time ;-) |

| I went to her "professional barrel racers" facebook page, she makes mention of the incident on there. Just goes to show that just because someone is "winning" it doesn't automatically make them a "good" person. |

Everyone acknowledges that "mean girl sh*t" happens, they just choos enot to attempt to change any of it. I've also seen some male barrel racers make "mean girl sh*t" look like childs play. I missed most of this yesterday bc I was too busy watching the breeder of one of my horses jump down someone's throat who commented on a post I shared on FB. I shared a post about KS and she commented its often hereditary, and he knows the one I have that he bred has it, and boy did he fly off the handle. Because he felt his whole career was attacked. My horse wasnt even mentioned in the post to start with. And sh*t like that happens everyday and no one bats an eye, until it may or may not be a prominent name in the industry invovled. All the memes and posts about it, making fun of it, dragging B down for it, etc....is mean girl sh*t in itself too. Why is mean girl sh*t always the natural popular reaction to someone else's mean girl sh*t. I'm sure we've all been guilty of it ourselves, we do it on this forum allllllll the time |
