I am not looking to change anything on my current feed routine. I genuinely just like reading what others feed their horses and how much they are feeding. It is interesting to see how people can feed the same things but the ratios and amounts will change depending on the horse and the region.

Simplified mine recently. I have 3: QH (23), Appendix (8), and Appy (29). The QH gets worked 4 days a week, he's retired from 2019 injury. The appendix is worked 6 days a week, 30-60 minutes. They all just eat 2.5lbs of Kalm N Ez for grain. They get a flake of alfalfa on the ground morning and night. And they have slow feeders kept full all day with a 75/25 alflfa/grass mix. The appy gets a cup of rice bran in winter to just help maintain his weight and the QH gets pulled off grain during winter when I don't work him. I'm in IL. Fairly simple I suppose

Mine are all aged geldings - 17 and up. They are on underutilized pasture, 2 also get 1 lb Timothy pellets, 1/2 lb alfalfa cubes, 1/2 lb crypto aero wild food feed twice a day. The other doesn't do well on alfalfa so he gets 1lb. Timothy pellets and 1 lb Crypto Aero and right now THE ulcer meds as he colicked earlier this month and was on restricted feed for several days. They are all in good flesh, but not fat. In the summer this gelding will get BioStar's  Cool Star, I think that's what they call it, for his excessive sweating and harder breathing in our hot, humid South Texas Summer. I don't see making any changes as the boys are looking great on this regimen.

My two open horses get 2 lbs Hygain Showtorque, 3 flakes of coastal hay, twice a day. They get their THE Muscle Mass with special blends, in the morning. They have been turned out 24/7 but will be changing the closer we get to summer and will up their hay.

I feed 2 flakes western alfalfa per day per horse with Renew Gold and beet pulp shreds. Everyone gets a 16oz cup of the shreds and depending on keeper-ness 1/2 to 1 1/2 lb of the RG. Up until recently I was feeding 3-4 oz sunflower chips and hearts and a squirt of oil on the show horses for awesome coats, but both of those products have skyrocketed and not sure I'll be continuing both. I also like the sf seeds for their high phosphorus to offset the c/p ratio in the alfalfa. My easy keepers are not obese, and my hard keepers maintain very nice toplines even when only being minimally worked.

I'm amazed at the feed products you all are able to get in your areas. There's been times in the last 2 years we haven't even been able to get plain feed.

I have 2. My retired QH (29) and my mare (18). They get hay 24/7 in a slow feeder and a handful of soaked alfalfa cubes 1x a day. I just had to bump up the retired guy to 2 lbs of TC Senior (previously getting 1 lb) because he started losing weight once the temp dropped. I also started blanketing him. My mare gets one 8oz cup (a sour cream container) of Renew Gold and about 3/4 (of same container) alfalfa pellets. I just started her back on the alfalfa pellets since I have been legging her up. She also gets U Guard. My horses get fed the concentrates once a day.
