This has got to STOP !!!! Who picks on "children"?

Another senseless EVIL act that shouldn't have happened. Why was the school so accessible? I thought schools had protocols in place to prevent people getting in without permission.  Doors are supposed to be locked. Gates etc etc. This sick person murdered his grandmother first and then went to the school and did this. When are schools going to get tired of being sitting ducks? Gun free zones right?  I'm glad my children don't attend school. They aren't even safe there. How sad.. prayers for the families.

It's a terrible world we live in that the powers that be seek to destroy mental health care across the nation so that people have to live with the demons in their heads.   

We will never solve this problem until we solve the demise of the family unit, mental health, and lack of values. 

Their answer is more gun control. Has it even been determined where this person got the gun? They are making it sound like he went into Bass Pro and purchased the gun legally. . its not as simple and care free as it's being portrayed. We don't have a gun problem,  we have a people problem.. lack of morals, absent checked out parents,  educators can't say so n so has mental issues and needs evaluated... the list goes on and on.

They said he killed his grandmother before going to the school. Have they said anything about any of the rest of his family?

Mental health matters. I will say it again, MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!!! I work as an accountant for a company that owns several mental health facilities. I never realized before coming here how many people use mental health services, and how many need them but do not use them! 

Problem number 2, ARM OUR SCHOOL STAFF!!!! It may not prevent every school shooting, but I strongly believe it would descrease the number of incidents and casualties. My kids are 8 and I am on edge with them at their last day of school today. We should not have to fear for our children while getting an education. There is so much I could say on this whole subject, but for now all I can do is pray for every single one of the lives that have been forever changed.

There has been so much conflicting information being put out....I think the grandmother is still alive but in critical condition? But there has not been ONE word said about his parents. 

Dropped out of high school.....I believe that is what I thought i heaerd....

He fled in her vehicle ....crashed the vehicle and entered the school....

Parents....thought I heard his mother was in North or South Dakota 

I found this article and that shows a young man destined to "go off the rails". And apprently nobody saw or "wanted" to see the mental issues.

It makes me so angry that the first thing people and politicians want to talk about is gun control and make this tragedy political. 

19 children and 2 teachers lost their lives, we could let people mourn before turning it into a political **** show. 

Screaming gun control will not bring those that lost their lives back. Lets be proactive, let the teachers carry, pay an armed guard to be at the door during school hours. 

Seems like he went off the rail....posted he was going to shoot his grandmother then confirmed it with a post with a warning he was going to shoot up a school......all within 30 min......

Wow.....so far the news haven't reported any of this.....

I believe there were some serious problems.....and they were ignored.

Media is only going to show and tell you what they want you to know. Not necessarily the facts. Lots of unanswered questions,  lots of holes in the story yet everyone is screaming over eachother about gun control. Just like they wanted. How did this person get thru 3 armed officers to get into the building while supposedly being pursued for shooting his grandmother in the face. Yet an off duty border patrol agent is the one who took him down. I saw a video floating around of the suspect casually walking into the side door of the school building, clearly you can see the gun, he wasn't running, or even hurrying, just strolling, didn't look like anyone that was being pursued or didn't look like anyone was even in his way. Not saying it's an accurate video of this piece of garbage but it's been taken down several times. It should raise more questions and people should be demanding answers but too busy fighting over gun control issues and the poor grieving parents. It's become too easy to tell people what they should believe. 

The oily Democrat politicians didn't waste time making political hay, as has been the case since Columbine.  Case in point, Beto O'Rourke's embarrassing stunt at the governor's press conference.

Here's what will come out of this:

1. Focus on mental health and what happened to kids over the past 30-40 years.

2. Focus on family....and the demise of two parent homes.

3. Attempts to "ban assault rifles"....same old completely baseless blather.  It will fail.

4. Renewed efforts to take the logical step of armed guards, armed teachers (optional), and metal detectors at school.

Barack Obama's Tweet:

"As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him." 

This makes my blood boil! There is no comparison between George Floyd and the victims of Uvalde. 

Exactly......oh it was infuriating to hear him compare the two.  

Oh my... I missed that. What a slap in the face to that community who is still trying to digest what happened! What an unbelievable thing to bring up at this time.. to Uvalde,  to law enforcement... I cannot even wrap my head around this statement!!! Wow.. just wow!!!!
