Has anyone used a supplement to help a dog who is sore?  We have a 7 year old Border Collie that has some arthritus and would like to put him on something to help him.  He is currently on Previcox but are wondering if there is a supplement like Lubrisyn or something that works.  I am not looking for a sales pitch.  I am hoping that someone has real experience with something that works.

MVP makes a supplement that I thought helped my dog but he ended up having an allergy to something in it and caused his eyes too water too much so I don't use it anymore. I have heard good things about Cosequyn though.

Years ago I used Cetyl M for one of our older dogs with arthritis. It helped him. I got it through Valley Vet. More recently I gave my old dog Rimadyl daily for the pain but she was in bad shape so she needed more until she passed.

Sent you a pm. Real stuff, really works, not widely available, and nothing in it for me except another creature feeling better.

I have two older cowdogs that have joint problems. One is 16 and he literally cannot walk unless he gets 2 VPS synovial max.

the other is 9 and gets one vps because she's not as bad.

the third dog is a corgi/heeler who is 7 and has some kind of knee problem when he was 4, and I give him  phycox chews.

I tried several kinds and these are the ones that WORK for my dogs.

I have done some silver lining and it does too but it's hard to feed with so many dogs. We have five.

MVP has Fido-Flex, which contains high levels of joint support: Glucosamine, MSM, HA, etc. They now have a new soft chew; previously offered in a meal form or tablet.

I've had good luck with Hemp and Hips and Tumeric chews.  I also use CBD as needed for pain.

Fido flex from MVP and Osteobiflex from Walgreens or any of those type places. We get the extra strength Osteobiflex and give our english bulldogs two tabs each once per day. The Fido flex and that are a good combi

CBD broad spectrum oil is phenomenal for soreness and overall health!  You'll see major benefits in older dogs including the cloudiness in their eyes diminishing.  Here is a link to the brand that I use.  You can also use this code (KAT15) for 15% off.  http://satavet.com/

I use Summit for Dogs, the oral version an it works great, an apparently not a bad taste cause my dog sits an just lets me squirt it in her mouth.  I can send you some info if you like.
