Anyone have any tips for planning an NFR trip?  I know it is early but I want to see ideas.

Where to stay? Ticket prices?

THANKS.

I've stayed at the Flamingo, Treasure Island and Caesars. Flamingo and TI were cheaper, but overall still ok. Caesars was very nice, but it much more expensive. TI has a good viewing party at Gillys.
Rodeo tickets cost about $200-$300 for ok seats.
Fremont street is a lot of fun. Often has bands on the weekends. Good for people watching too ;) There's a place called Pizza Rock by Fremont that is super good!

Food and drinks can be pretty pricy. We went to Hells Kitchen this last time. Had a beef Wellington, was amazing.
Cowboy Christmas has the best shopping. There's s few places you can shop. South Point has some good stuff too. Usually they have roping going on as well at South Point.

Stay in a hotel that is on the Monorail route AND provides the free NFR shuttle. I prefer the MGM Grand. I stayed at the Flamingo this year. It's an okay hotel. My room was nice and clean.  But I prefer the MGM Grand.  Download the NFR Experience app to your smart phone. It has good information. There are lots of neat luncheons you may wish to attend -- most require advance purchase tickets.... the PRCA luncheon, the Miss Rodeo American Fashion Show, for example.  Food is MUCH more expensive these days in Vegas.

We always stayed at the Excalibur, decent rooms for not a ton of money, we stayed at the Orleans this year because of the barrel race, I liked the hotel, but it's  a ways from things.

If you plan to take Ubers & Taxi plan for that cost, my uber bill this year was scary!

As for the shopping, pick a couple places to shop and do not try and hit them all, it is overwhelming.
