| Howdy all, I am not sure where else to go with this problem, so here I am looking for guidance... I have a colt out of a well known deceased stallion but cannot get him registered. Why? The stallion owners forgot to add my mare to their report that year. No biggie, they promised to get it taken care of quickly. Well fast forward from April to now and I am still without papers on a colt I could have sold by now as a stallion prospect. I've been kind, polite, and professional each time I've reached out to the owners but everytime they say they will they haven't. AQHA has confimred that no such report has been filed. There are no outstanding fees between myself to the stallion owner, plus I've mailed off all his DNA which I'm assuming is correct as I never heard anything else. My biggest problem is I have another mare in foal to this same stallion for a '24 filly so I have to tred lightly to not upset anyone and be stuck with 2 unregistered horses I have spent alot of money. Is there anything else I can do to prove this colt is who he's supposed to be and that my contract was accepted and paid in full with no issues with the stallion owners? I've even offered to pay for the stallion report myself to have my mare added. Any suggestions | |

| Either they are too lazy, in which case, they shouldn't be standing a stallion. Or they don't know how, in which case, they shouldn't be standing a stallion. Or they have an ownership problem on the stallion, in which case, they shouldn't be standing a stallion. Either way, who you deal with matters alot. I'd keep pestering them, or lawyer up if its worth it. Sometimes a letter fromt he lawyer is all it takes.

| Sadly, you are at their mercy. If you talk to someone at AQHA, make sure you get the person's name and sometimes if the person knows you, they will put pressure on the stallion owner. I can tell you here are some nutty people out there. One other thing, if you have a stallion contract, have a lawyer look at it and send them a letter saying they have not fulfilled their part. In dealing with stallion owners, there are some freaking nutty people out there. I think I have dealt with most of them!! In the future find stallion owners who are professional and have the same goals as you. Best advice I can give. | |

| I would at least call to see if second mare is on 2023 stallion report but they still need to send you the breeders certificate on 2024 baby. I just don't know what it is with these stallion owners!!! I have had to deal with some lulu's. After 2024 baby is born and they are not cooperative with baby 2023 still, I would have a lawyer send them a letter with what you are requesting. Also, offer to pay the late fee to add mare to the stallion report. Not sure but don't think it is more than $20. | |
