TMEquine - 2016-06-27 11:46 AM I like how everyone is calling Hotpaints comment ugly, but the responses from everyone flaming her are far uglier.
I don't know - here's her original comment.  It's definitely one of the rudest, most uncalled for posts I've ever seen on here.  Geeeezzzzz...... I think people have been banned from the site for being so rude.

hotpants -
Why would anyone want to go to one of her clinics or send their child to one to learn how to ride like that?? It just blows my mind.

I agree with Frodo, she either needs a bigger horse or needs to lose weight. Weight loss combined with better, quieter riding would really help her.

Flame away........I just cringe everytime I see someone ride like that, I don't care how fast or who they are.

O.K. so now that everyone is ready to put me on the BBQ, let me add that one of the things that I do admire about Fallon is her push for all riders to wear helmets. No, I do not know her. I have only seen pictures and videos of her. No, I do not like her riding style. I prefer Sherry Cervi. Yes, Barrel racing is a timed event so it is whoever is the fastest regardless of how it is done. Fallon admitted she should/would try to ride quiet. She has accomplished a lot.

NOW, is everyone going to kick my butt and throw me on the BBQ for saying that I have no idea how anyone would spend big $$ to go hear Hillary speak and she would also benefit from losing weight, wearing something else besides what looks like a tent and should have changed "horses" years ago.

Β

I have a general rule........ People should not criticize those people who have accomplished MORE than they themselves have doing the same sport. SO unless anyone on here has gone to the NFR more times than FT has, then it doesn't make a difference how big she is, horse is, what she looks like, riding style etc. Unless you can outrun her and take her money, don't criticize.

Two wrongs don't make a right and bullying someone for "being a bully" makes for a silly argument.

I think if you guys whose snark-o-meters are running hot will look back at these posts you don't like, you won't find them anti-Fallon as much as pro Baby Flo. This gutsy little mare is taking a pounding that "has" to hurt. Ever see Lisa Lockhart ride Louie like this?

I think the issue was more about the weight comment. I don't particularly like the "plane coming in to land" look when riders are practically doing the splits while two feet above the horse's back, but FT has the accomplishments to back up her style. I personally prefer a quieter riding style, because I agree, that cannot be comfortable for the horse.

You may be right and I don't think Fallon is overweight as much as a tiny horse can make you look like you are.

ThreeCorners - 2016-04-29 12:23 PM What website are you talking about? www.falontaylor.com  ??Are her clinics called the run home tour? Why not just call it a clinic schedule? lol
Because it's Fallon's website and she can call it what she wants.  Besides being a beautiful woman and an amazing barrel racer she is very talented in the marketing and promoting of her business.  "Run Home Tour" is a great name for her "clinic schedule."  "Clinic schedule" would be a plain-jane name for her schedule  and we all know there is nothing plain-jane about Fallon!  I, for one, hope Fallon never stops being a little fancier, flashier and gaudier than many of her talented, yet predictable, counterparts.  Why not call just call it a clinic schedule?  What a silly question!  One simply does not expect the expected with Fallon!  That's why so many people love her!

There's a good possibility that Baby Flo has to be ran that way to get past the barrels.  Haven't we all seen horses that become barrel hitters the second the rider lets up and "quits" the horse?  Perhaps Lisa doesn't ride Louie that way because he doesn't need to be rode that way.  I can't imagine myself questioning the why or how of any of the NFR cowgirls.  It never ceases to amaze me when people hiding behind computer keyboards do it!  Long story short:  It's hard to argue with success.

As far as Baby Flo being "hurt" by Fallon's riding style...just out of curiosity?  Is Baby Flo a balker?  Does she refuse the pen or vapor lock?  Or does she happily come running in like the little freight train that could?  Is there anyone who has seen her enough to be able to answer that question?  I think the answer may shed some light into whether the "little mare that could" and can and has, is being hurt!

I'm no expert but I've ridden enough horses to know that it's not easy to run a push style horse into a turn and be able to sit quietly in the turn as well. I have a mare that when you stop "riding" her she thinks it's time to sit and turn. You literally have to drive all the way to your spot, sit, look and turn then get up and go again. If she's a push style mare, in my opinion, they're harder to ride then a free runner. if she's anything like my horse you have to hustle them.

Amen! And FT isnt the only one on a push style horse that rides hard... dont understand why she takes all the heat.

Every single other issue aside, riding style, size of baby flo, accomplishments, your overall feelings toward fallon or any other barrel racer, it is not okay to say they need to lose weight. I really had to look and see if the poster was a dude. What woman doesn't spend a ton of time and energy worrying about her weight? How can we all not have a complex when someone like fallon taylor is considered over weight? I bet if you stood next to her you'd be mortified. People who are known largely thru pics and video are almost always way littler in person. I'm not trying to bully anyone, either, it's just hurtful to every single woman on here to have read that.

It seems like all I know about FT is the bad about her lol. I remember the whole Chuy saga with her, during that time when all her other dirty dealings came to light. I also remember first year back at the NFR and in her interview when asked "what does it take to get to the NFR" and her answer was "money" it's all left a bad taste in my mouth.

I will say though that she's a marketing genius. She has these little kids and teenie boppers eating up whatever she puts out!

Wasn't there a time to when you were not allowed to post her name or even initials here because she was threatened to take BHW to court? Or had? Idk the exact details but I remember her often being referred to as "she who cannot be named"

^^Great summation.  Really - it has nothing to do with FT - it's the fact that some posters decided it was ok to tell another (extremely successful) barrel racer that they needed to lose weight.

My advice, don't mentioned things of this nature if you don't know the details. How rumors start...

stayceem - 2016-06-27 6:33 AM I cant decide if this thread ****es me off or makes me sad... Fallon has already made comments about getting her foot stuck made her realize she wants to quiet down. Now she won before and she is still self-reflecting. I think some people here need to self-reflect... why are you being so ugly? What is it that makes you heart so mean? Bad marriage? Death in the family? Lack of success on your end? Dead-end job? What makes you so full of hate where you want to make such a nasty comment about someone??!! People... honestly, and we wonder whats wrong with this world. For a gal who's won the world, constantly winning barrel races in Texas and someone who gives so much of her time to other's is suddenly too big for her horse? Can you outrun her? Have you? Good grief... #mindblown
How do you get your foot stuck anyway?

I believe she lifted her leg to prevent hitting a barrel.

Fallon is beautiful inside and out, she is not a heifer  like some are insuating by any means sz wise , no not a Twig either, she has fit muscles ( and boobs) ..We are not all 5' 2"and 100 lbs  and wear sz zero. Sorry , rode w her at Springdale slack last week , yes BabyFlo is tiny , Fallon is my size on a horse 3 hands smaller than mine!( Probably looked funny!  standing side by side in the alley- the biggest and the smallest )
Sara Rose rides Bling chicken flapping and  star fishing every single stride , but like Fallon, watch her on a freer horse..nope.
