Please, Lord, bless this family with the full depth of your love, your shelter, and your grace.  Hold Jacob's mom when she is unsteady and let her feel your warm embrace.  Bring Jacob through this challenge and let him be stronger in his faith because of it.  Amen.

Never underestimate the power of prayer. Have recently been where you are. God is a God of Miracles and Healing. You too shall get through this with a strong positive support system, prayers and friends.
Will continue to keep you all in my prayers. God Bless.

Sending you lots of love and prayers right now. I'm from Memphis, so St. Jude is very dear to my heart, and I have a million contacts in the city so if you end up there and need ANYTHING please don't hesitate to contact me.

He's doing ok today, he's really tired. But he had about 7 boys from his baseball team come by tonight and give him a huge goodie bag full of stuff! He really enjoyed seeing his friends. Lots of smiles in our home tonight. My husband received a phone call from our local walmart letting us know that someone came in and paid off our Christmas layaway for us. I'm in tears typing this. We had put our kids Christmas gifts on layaway a while back, we were getting a little worried about how we were going to swing this by the 11th. My husband has a good job, but when he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid and he took off several days to be with us in the hospital. We are so blessed to have the love and support of family and our wonderful little community.

I finally got to go to the barn this morning without worrying about how much time I could spend, my mother and my cousin came to our home to help me out for the next few months. I knew jacob was being watched in the house so I could take my time out at the barn.. I fed my horses and cleaned stalls all while listening to them eat.. I may be weird, but the sound of them eating calms me, loving on them and burying my face in their mane relaxes me and makes me happy for a second! I was thankful for that 30 minutes today to just, be... not rushing thru outside chores because I was in a hurry to get back to Jacob, worrying if he needed something. I'm so glad I have my horses, they offer me some sort of normal lately.

They are good for our soul during times like this. So happy you got a little "you time". Bless your momma and cousin for being your angels today.

So glad you got to spend barn time they are healing force. My situation is nothing like yours but I had been sick for the last 3 years and I will tell you just having them and having to get up to take care of them was a Godsend. It's amazing what just cleaning stalls can do for you. So happy your family came to help and give you some downtime for yourself. prayers

Don’t feel guilt taking a little  time for yourself.   Thru my nieces journey with her brain tumor I flew out often for the many hospital stays so my sister and her husband could sleep at home and recharge.
