I am not for letting transgender males compete in female sports. I am not against trangender people in any way, it doesn't hurt me and if that's what makes them happy so be it! However, transitioning to a female, you will still naturally still be physically dominant. Most men can definitely outrun or are stronger than women. That is the physically dominant gender, so I just don't think it's fair to let them compete in female sports.
What about have a transgender male as a role model via teaching in a classroom of little children?

I don't see a problem with that, if he/she is a good person why does it matter if they decided they wanted to transition to the other gender?

As for me and my family, I'd say no to the teacher thing. I don't feel like getting into all my details as to why or why I believe its wrong, but its a hard no. I homeschool anyway, but I could speak for hours as to why we chose to take our kids out of public schools.

| I was channel surfing last night and came across a really old episode of the Kardashians... before Bruce became Kaitlyn or Caitlyn .... woah.... he was kind of an odd duck anyway .. but people referring to him as a "hero" or an inspiration for basically deciding he wanted to be a woman...... I just don't agree with... the inspiration was way back when on the Wheaties box .... I'm old fashioned conservative I guess. | |

Location: Vinita, Okla. | Ok, here I go again--STxPG(lol)! Yes some of us Gay folk are dang handsome!!! Some might say I'm even "Pretty!" ---Oh wait that was ME! On HERE!!! Lol It never ceases to amaze me that people don't realize how they sound when they say something like--- "He's gay??? But he's so handsome, and could have any girl he wanted!!!" Lolol While I'm not and don't wanna be a spokesperson for anybody but myself, please listen when I tell you this is not something you just decide one day that you think you wanna try!?!? It's not a bowling league, or a gardening club!!! Your born this way!!! It's who you are, in every fiber of your being. I mean seriously, who the hell would choose to have to deal w all the BS that goes along w it??? If your not up on all your terminology and facts, educate yourself about theses things! Everyone of you knows a gay person or 20!! Whether you realize it or not!!! And being Gay, being Transgender and being a "Drag Queen" are all very different things!!! And calling one of "us" something we do not identify ourselves as, can get ugly!!! And Transgender and Drag is very different!!! I'm not gonna get into all the explanations on here, but I personally think a child isn't gonna be any more in harms way w having a trans teacher, as they already are w some of the teachers they are being taught by right this minute! And like was said earlier, a lot of parents are homeschooling for bigger reasons than having a trans teacher! And really, at least as far as grade schoolers go, like under 5th grade or so, those kiddo's aren't gonna get to form their own opinion of their teacher! They are gonna over hear or be flat out told that Ms. SoNsO is different and why!!! By their parents or other grown ups close to them and their family or by other older kids they go to school w! It can be explained in terms they understand and when they are old enough to comprehend it, but unfortunately grown ups that don't understand something ate gonna have kids that don't understand it either! I do realize that not all of America is as backward as it once was tho, and if someone wanted there are agencies that could help parents enlighten their children in a fair and UN biased way!!!

| I have a legit question... and I hope its not in any way offensive ... but is Bruce Jenner gay? Or he is a lesbian now that he's a she ? I'm confused. Does he date men, as a woman or he is dating women as a lesbian? Anyway... I guess it doesn't matter at this point. I do not care if you are gay, straight, black white brown yellow or whatever... going to sound so cliche and say I have plenty of friends that are openly gay and my adult stepdaughter is gay. Growing up in the hunter jumper world I had many a gay trainers both men and women ... it wasn't a big deal back then because they didn't make it a big deal ... everyone was cool about it.. on both sides ... seems suddenly it became a mission (of some, not all, it's not fair to lump everyone into 1 category) to make sure we knew you were gay and that we had better be ok with it or else we are bigoted Neanderthals with zero compassion or tolerance... I miss the old days when it was ok ... we knew they were gay, they knew we knew but it was alright... it wasn't an issue. Sometimes I think gay people have more of problem with being gay than straight people have with them being gay... like my step daughter, suddenly became very defensive and for no good reason.. she was embraced from the very get go of coming out. | |

Location: Vinita, Okla. | Want2chase3--I would guess the only way to know the who, what, and why about Bruce Jenners sexuality, would be to ask him. Or if he came out in a book with all his biz! Like all of us, he--I mean she, is on a one time journey called life! Hell I have enough trouble dealing w my own crap, and if it doesn't affect me, I'm grateful and go on! For the sake of this original post getting too far off base, PM me and I will give you my thoughts on your comment about some gays having more of a problem w being gay, than the straight people in their lives. And YES! The ratio of straight to gay trainers, riders and horse enthusiasts in our BIG EQUINE WORLD is dead even , 50/50!!! And it's not a big deal, and I thank God it's easier now and accepted more openly! We're all still your brother, sister, cousin, Moma's friend from the office, and the neighbors north of your place, and you love us already, hopefully! I would like to think of it that way at least!
