TyE - 2014-04-29 11:34 AM  Looks like to me if the Clippes were so upset with their owner, which is what he is,  they would have had a little stronger protest other than wearing a shirt wrong side out....oooh that took a lot of courage!   "Don't bite the hand that feeds you"  that seems to be their mentality.  Now if you were really going to protest and show maybe a little bit of courage then don't play the game and even that doesn't speak of courage in my book!    It is just a game!  America is sick with their celebrity worship.
I'd play the game naked if that old, racist man paid me a portion of what those athletes make.

lmao....THEN, everyone would have a reason to be offended!

I used to say a long time ago, before you saw the sponsor patches on shirts,   that I would wear TAMPAX on the back of my shirt and on the side of my trailer if they would sponsor me.  Not that I was ever good enough, but back when I was young and a dreamer!

What is just punishment for being a racist and making stupid remarks if you own a business?  Though I absolutely disagree with his comments, and think he is a racist pig, the fact that some are requesting that he sell the team, is ridiculous. It is taking it a bit too far.

It's HIS business and his personal views (as repugnant as they are) should in no way play apart of how the business is run, as long as he follows the legal guidelines set forth in the state of California.  His "employees" can leave if there contracts allow, if they are contractually bound, then they need to negotiate their departure if the feel that strongly.  Somehow, I don't think all the players will leave a lucrative paycheck behind (where would they all go?), regardless of how disgusting the "boss" is.

Sponsors are dropping like flies at the moment and he (and the team) will be feeling the financial impact of those departures; 10's of millions in lost revenue.  This will be a big hit to the wallet and may impact more than just Sterling, as it may also affect the players in a negative way.  They did nothing but play ball, yet may feel the brunt of the punishment in the end.

The team members (ALL members) are wearing their jerseys inside out. That is a appropriate way to protest without getting all wrapped up in the media garbage.  They are the only ones at the moment that are acting like adults. I'm sure many would like to give him a piece of their mind.

Bottom line, what is just punishment for Sterling?

Seriously?  They are in the playoffs and you want them to just default on games and not get paid because their boss is a PIG? And what about all the other business surrounding the Staple Center that would lose revenue if they refused to play?  How fair is that to them?  What about the fans of the TEAM?

They did EXACTLY the right thing.  It's a business and they want to win!

It most certainly is his team but it's a franchise of the NBA. What he says affects the entire brand. If you own a McDonalds franchise and put in the front window, we don't like black guys. How long do you think it would take for McDonalds to pull your franchise?
