LP22654 - 2016-06-14 4:55 PM I have had a fear for 2 years that Obama will never leave office. You can flame me all you want. This man has caused so much division in our country. I can't respect a man that goes around apologizing to people that hate America! I will never forgive him for what he allowed Iran do to our military! Hold guns to their heads, are you kidding? Did he forget that's the reason his butt gets to walk around free and play KING! I happen to love my country and I feel we wouldn't have to kill other people if we didn't have to defend their butts! Why are so many people out of work? Why are our major companies leaving the US? I feel this President has caused this mess. I was a Democrat for years and God knows I ain't no more. To fill our white house with people that hate our guts and let them have access to our most guarded secrets is insane! Hillary Clinton is a crook starting when she lived in Arkansas. I lived there at that time. You people have no idea the criminal stuff those 2 were involved in. It got hushed up. She is guilty of everything the FBI is investigating her on and you can bet Bill has his hands in it to. I pray to God that he unveils all these thugs and America will be safe again! If not I feel goodbye to a once free land. I feel so sorry for all those people that have lost their lives due to this mess our country is in. May God bless America!
Just 6 more months before I get to say I told you so.  Democrats, including Obama, believe in our democracy.  We proved it when one corrupt Florida AG stole the election from Gore and gave it to George W Bush.  Say what you want but I never spoke hatred or disrespect for our President Bush, he was our president and as an American I would not do that in public.  I hope everyone will show the same respect to whomever wins this next election.  We can't afford to show the world discontent or we could have our own ISIS by some other name.

If I were a democrat I would feel the same about the Florida election.  That said,  Bush never told the American people to "get off their high horse" when we were outraged at the beheadings by Isis, comparing what is happening now to things Christians did centuries ago, the difference is Christianity evolved past committing these barbaric violent acts. People are not burned at the stake any more.    Laura Bush never stated that this was the first time she has been proud of her country.   I truly feel the Obamas do not like America.

This just keeps getting stranger and stranger as things are found out about this monster, I myself thinks he was just casing out the gay clubs to see where he could get the most out of what he was planning. I was reading that the club he hit and was hanging out at he pulled a knife on some of the men that were getting friendly with himso they all stayed away from him after the knife thing, I wondered too if he was gay but was just fighting it.

Exactly... Obamo is making us Americans the bad guys here not the ones going around blowing up us people and beheading and shooting as many americans as they can get..

Southtxponygirl - 2016-06-14 11:04 AM Now I heard that the shooter was a regular at the night club, been going for almost 3 years.
Other gay clubs too, also had a gay connection app on phone.  Pretty clear he was gay.
As more information is being revealed, this story is taking twist and turns, that I don't believe anyone expected. I "heard" that the father is now claiming "... my son was a fanatic, ISIS supporter, he was not gay". Can you imagine wanting your child to be a murdering extremist, rather than admit he might be gay? WTH.............. Praying for the victims, families, friends, first responders, doctors, nurses, anyone involved in this horrible tragedy.

Its just crazy..

i've just been lurking on this thread while catching up. Rodeomom - believe you've thrown out a valid variable. Aside from whatever connection he had with radicalism, after reading various reports (being gay growing up in texas - easier now than it was) I can certainly see some truth to instability regarding the shooters sexuality. From my experience, not realizing it at the time, some of the worst treatment I saw to others (I hid my sexuality for many years, not knowing any different - it is a struggle to understand and finally be comfortable in your own skin - at least for me) was from those that were or may have been struggling with it themselves. I can't imagine struggling with it with growing up in an "extreme" religion where it's totally not acceptable. He was married. There is guilt. I do not know. Just find this interesting. I believe there are many levels at play with why he did what he did. I do not know the answer and find it all very sad.

rodeomom3 - 2016-06-14 6:47 PM  Watching Greta interview an Imam from Florida, said he does not condemn the stoning of a woman for adultery and how can we as Americans who have the death penalty think the stoning is wrong??

We turned it off...Greta shouldn't give people like that any kind of platform. The so called good Muslim's aren't standing up and saying the radicals are wrong so why should we be concerned about protecting someone that refuses to help and protect the Americamn people.

I don't believe for one minute the shooter was gay. The libs will try to twist and turn everything. It's about Obama's legacy and the up coming election. Obama acted like a fool today on TV scoulding the American people like we are all like his sheeple.

I do believe he was seen at gay clubs as he was probably trying to decide which one he was going to attack. A gunman doesn't walk into a scenario that he isn't familar with the layout of the building.

Agree with all of this but they said he had been going to gay clubs for 3 years and was using a gay app used to connect with other gays.
If in fact he was gay, which I don't believe, he wasn't very gay since he had 2 wifes and 2 kids. Why would a gay person want to kill 49 gays? Makes absolutely no sense. I still think he was stalking and trying to decide which club he was going to attack.
Some say Obozo is gay.

Lots of gay men marry and have children, happens all the time.  There is no way he could live openly as a gay man.  I think it is plausible that his anger and rage issues had to do with the fact he was struggling with being something his religion condemns with death.  Rumors of him being gay go back to high school.  He attacked gays because he hated what he was.

bingo rodeomom.... my partner has told me he was not nice to feminine gay men when he was younger b/c he struggled with it himself. He knew he was gay and didn't want people to categorize him in the same status as a feminine man. He finds it embarrassing, even to this day, it makes him uncomfortable. b/c it embarrases him and doesn't want to be put into the same box. Me? I don't give a shiz anymore what people think of me. My partner has two wonderful children and lived as he thought he was supposed to for many, many years until he was about to explode.

This guy lived about 30 mins north of where I grew up. A friend's son went to school with him. There are more than a handful of gay bars that he could have targeted within a 30 minute drive of his own home. He was never spotted in any of them. Orlando has a large gay community. It is easier to blend in and protect one's anonymity there than it would have been in the much smaller community closer to home. Just the same as many young, gay men who are raised with very strict religious beliefs commit suicide, so did this individual. He lashed out, but according to his beliefs, he made sure to find his way to Heaven, as well. I guarantee you that he had no intention of walking out of that club. He hadn't been going there, or to any of the other gay establishments that he frequented in Orlando to case out anything besides other men. He used his Jack'd account as it was intended... to hook up with other men.

Those individuals who have come forward, scared out of their minds and admitted to having hooked up with him in the past have described him as a brutal sexual partner. He displayed his hatred for them, himself and the act in which he was partaking. This was a very conflicted individual, trapped between his beliefs and his desires. I do not say any of this to defend this monster. I was there for the opening of this club. I had several friends there Saturday night, employees and patrons alike. I have friends who made it out unscathed. I also have friends who were carried out, dead on the scene. No gun laws would have prevented this. Honestly, better security probably wouldn't have prevented this either. The only end to such horrific acts would be the end of religions so extreme as to preach and teach such hate. Sadly, religion has been the cause of much senseless bloodshed throughout history. This is not me denouncing all religion, simply those who twist it into anything but love.

WrapSnap,
I had a long lunch yesterday with my BFF and her recently outed son.  He is 19 and trying to fiq. out how he fits in here at home.  College is easy.  They do not know him as the 4-H kid, High School Athlete, etc..

Now this.  He was really feeling the hate and not understanding.  It breaks my heart.

I saw an interview with the woman who owns Pulse.  She lost her brother to Aids and wanted this to be a safe place.

Please take care of yourself.  Hugs from Colorado.

Although out in high school, I was also quite the conundrum to many. I was President of our FFA, an officer in $H, Jr FL Cattlemen's, did tons of Public Speaking for Farm Bureau, etc... It was sometimes very tough to be the gay guy who also represented the Youth Ag community in our area. I was met with a lot of resistance, but proved my worth to those who mattered. I caught a lot of flack in many circles. The one thing that I always held onto was that I was true to myself. My thoughts and prayers go out to your friend and her son. It sounds like he has a great support system to help him along his way.

This was a terrorist that studied radical islam.. the fact he was gay or wasnt I really dont care.. I do NOT feel bad for him nor will I..we are focusing on that more then the fact that he murdered in cold blood .... I grieve for the ones that lost their lives and the families and community. I lived there in wellington and was around it and many friends and i can tell you not one would have acted this way.Nor would they have used it as a excuse for anything..He could be blue, red ,gay ,straight  , transgender .. who cares.. he is a terrorist ..
there is NO excuse or reasoning but he was radicalized and planned this...a plain and simple A@@@@@@ that destroyed lives . he studied the  videos , had many ties to it and became radical..  I will not give him a excuse!!

I certainly don't feel as though I excused his behavior, nor do I feel badly for him. Did I say that he was conflicted? Yes. I can honestly tell you that my feelings and yours are much the same with regards to the situation. I merely wanted to shed what light I could with the information that I have from those who had interacted with him

I heard a psychology professor speaking on this subject this morning say that many times people who are gay struggle with all sorts of emotions, often feeling anger and sadness. But, he also said that there is no way that any of them, no matter how conflicted they feel, would do something as atrocious as this monster did without some other force driving them, such as this man’s radical Islamic beliefs. I don’t think he did this because he struggled with whether or not he was gay, straight or in between. I believe he did it because of the extreme, radical and horrific teachings of these radial idiots he followed. Other than there being such a big crowd at this club, why he picked to inflict his rage on this bunch of innocent people is probably not something we will ever truly know.

To date, an Obama Figurine has not been burned in effigy such as George W. Bush's was on multiple occasions. And claiming Obama believes in Democracy, (when His use of Executive Orders and Unconstitutional Governmental Appointments while Congress was in Recess, so he could dodge Constitutional Congressional Approvals) is like Jeffrey Dahlmer was not a murderer............................

This is well said.

Mr. President, I read in the The New York Times today where you reportedly blasted Donald J. Trump for wanting to tighten the borders and accused him of paintin...g a whole religion as violent.
A Muslim can murder 49 innocent people in a gay club, and you still defend the religion of Islam.
But a Christian who refuses to bake a homosexual’s wedding cake endures prosecution, financial ruin, and nation-wide shaming because of their faith, and you stay silent!
What Omar Mateen did was following the teachings of the Koran. It is incomprehensible that you will not acknowledge the dangers of Islam’s teachings in order to protect the American people under your watch.
