The least you folks should do is own your hypocrisy.
Going by McConnel's own rules there should be be no supreme court vote in an election year.
It's all a ruse by both parties. To claim one party is doing it worse than the other is just plain stupidity. Â

| I watched the entire thing. Here's my perspective as a sexual assault survivor(34 years, I was 10, remember a hell of a lot) Independent, mother of an 18 yr old son.
Ford is a farce. Her testimony came across as disingenuous, the emotion behind her testimony was flat out superficial IMO.
My son, 18 much like Kavanaugh in his love of sports, friends w/everyone including girls, goes to parties etc, I now wonder if in 10,20,30 years from now someone making these kinds of accusations against him. These are scary times for men in this country when the presumption of innocence is gone.

| I agree. I think Ford was rehearsed and her degree and chosen field suited her well for this. If you are that traumatized by some guy grinding on you and pulling your clothes when you were a teen that you have flashbacks...I’m not buying it. I was a teen in the 80’s. I know exactly how it was back then. In college, I was surrounded by the mainly black basketball team one night when I was walking across campus alone. They surrounded me, were cat calling and doing the pelvic thrust my direction. Then one of them recognized me as living with his dorm director (they though I was his daughter) and they all backed off, apologized and said it was just a joke.
I certainly haven’t let it give me nightmares and rule my life. If she’s that fragile, she shouldn’t be in the field she chose. | |

I just could not belive how they were so stuck on his yearbook, my goodness, I had crazy things writin in mine as others, we were just kids being a goofy kid LOL. I really dont know to many high schoolers that didnt drink some while in high school, I bet most of those dems liked doing drinking games too, I loved doing quarters when I got older lol.. But I grew up and had my boys and hubby and I dont drink any more. Awww but the younger days we did have alot of fun  | |

The thing that irritates me most is I am not a sexual assault VICTIM I am a sexual assault SURVIVOR for 34 years and God knows I have my issues bc of it but I have lived a good life, not Dr. Ford good but good. I have 2 BEAUTIFUL successful children an amazing husband, horses a little money in the bank etc. I WAS a victim but I SURVIVED and that's what bothers me most about the language surrounding this case or any others for that matter. I so badly want to publicly tell my story to counter balance the farce #metoo but it would cause collateral damage to innocent people who weren't even born at the time. The person involved is in prison. For me it's over.
Let me just say, it wasnt the men in my life that treated me poorly when my assault became public, it was the women. | |

If more women were like you, there would be way less of this mess that goes on in the world today of females who really DID NOT suffer through what real victims (and as you say, eventual survivors) do. Location: Kansas | I just watched Justice with Judge Jeanine. Always a great show and she couldn't be any more disgusted with the Demonrats (her word) but also with Republicans for buckling at every turn on the Kavanaugh debacle.
Like so many she believes "something" happened to Ms. Ford and she's just mixed up. Michelle Malkin, a guest, the same as said Ms. Ford is lying through her teeth. I'm with Michelle 100%. Christine Ford is going to come out of this a millionaire and should be in line for an Academy Award for acting. She certainly had plenty of time to rehearse her lines. The FBI shouldn't be investigating Judge Kavanaugh. They should be after Ford and her attorneys.

The most conspicuous oddity to me was her gasping and sobbing.....with no tears. Not one tear. I looked through dozens of photos, and watched videos. I didn’t see a single tear. Also, that body language and innocent schoolgirl persona, with that meek 15 year old’s voice, all seemed orchestrated and rehearsed. It’s easy to just accept the media’s consensus that her pain was real, but I just don’t. I don’t buy the brave, babe in the woods”, traumatized victim performance.......and a tearless one at that. | |

I got into a facebook argument with a friend the other day, she's super TeamFord with an extreme passion and super passionate about the #metoo thing and women's rights in general. We butt heads a lot, but what she posted the other day I couldn't ignore. She said unless you've been a victim of sexual assault you're not allowed to have an opinion on someone else's assault. Then expanded to any life situation, including if you don't actively do something on a daily basis to keep you from getting attacked you can't judge those who do or have in the past, nor can you judge someone's motive for attacking someone. And then started with the all women have the right to be believed stuff. My response wasn't so nice to her about it, most of my response was simply stating that was bogus and how she has no right to tell other what they can/can't have an opinion on or talk about. One of her friends asked me if I was at this part with Ford and I said no, so she said exactly, so shut up. I fired back the same question at her lol. But this whole thing has gone so far beyond this incident, it's blown up social media & gotten everyone just crazy. I've had some instances where I wouldn't say I was attacked, but was made very uncomfortable and it hasn't affected me with other people nor have I really spent time thinking about it or letting it bother me.
