Looks worse then dog food then too! My father likes to make it from scratch. As a kid when you saw the ingredients it meant either spend the weekend at a friends or lock yourself in your room with the windows open so you don't smell it. That and head cheese... I hated seeing the poor pigs heads on my counter.... and it didn't smell great or taste great either. IMO OMG! I love Hog's Head Cheese. Now, I know where to get some really good Hog Heads Cheese..... Do tell. Kelone's in Cottonport, LA......the best.
Thanks. It had to be from LA to be credible. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I had pate once with a gourmet meal served on the beach in Mexico. The lobster bisque was divine, and so was the shrimp. I was drunk by the time we got to dessert, so I don't remember if it was good or not. But the pate...I took one bite and sent it back to the kitchen in return for a green salad. Blech. Fried SPAM is better than that stuff! I would put it on the same level as chitlins... |

Address something just simple toward them "Hey Men.." then either insult or discuss a sports team or type of sport, say girls are smarter, or discuss food. Draws the men out every time.
The Golden rule still applys "A way to a mans heart is through their bellies" They brought the food up in this thread. ..
To the OP, there used to be quite a few more on here. There are some but 90% of this forum is women.
EDITED: To change thread to forum* I am not trying to call you men girls or anything

Astute observation, for the most part, with a couple modifications or caveats. We generally don't often react to remarks about women being smarter. We love women and want them to feel good about themselves. It is unwise to contest any assertions that women are more intelligent. It's always a good idea to develop an ability to resist that natural tendency to belly laugh at certain comments eminating from the fairer sex. That is best saved for evenings when gathering around the square table. |

RIBS... so good.
And if you do wish to do a day trip, the museum campus is pretty cool. The Shedd Aquarium is neat, the Field Museum is also awesome.
Don't go to Navy Pier, and for the love of pete don't put ketchup on that hot dog |

If you are interested in anything in particular, I can give you the 411 |

Godiva Chocolates? I usually buy them for my women but seldom eat them myself. I get more bang for the buck if I reserve their utility for manly pursuits. Now Garret's popcorn has me intrigued. Never heard of that. |

One year I landed a sweet deal as the "stadium doctor" for old County Stadium in Milwaukee. No, not the team doctor. I had to be available to go to the first aid station if a doc was needed. I think I went to about 50 home games that year. The worst thing I saw was a laceration on a guy's head from getting hit by a thrown beer bottle. For that I landed 2 box seats right behind home plate, about 6 rows from the field. I know what a Goose Gossage fastball sounds like....that's how close I was. Excuse me for a minute.....I am getting teary eyed..... |

I never got seats close enough... But I used to stand close enough to recognize the sound of a Bob Gibson fastball hitting the glove!!! |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I'm not sure who would scare me worse......Gibson or Nolan Ryan. Both were masterful at intimidation. I think Ryan plunked more hitters, but Gibson didn't hesitate to throw at a hitter. I was playing amateur ball back in the 90's and was hit square in the ribs by a 90+ mph fastball. Broke THREE ribs. |
