Location: 31 lengths farms | Her attitude everyday of this has amazed me, not once has she looked like this was too much for her, like I was asking her to do more than she could handle. When I saw the literal size of the stone it was then that I realized how truly truly tough she is and how much I did ask of her. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Well it finally dried out enough to have the farrier out and get everyone done. They were about 2 weeks over due which is not how we roll at this house but they had been in mud about 6-8 inches deep until a few days before Christmas. Travis was blown away at how good all of their feet looked especially considering the rain and mud. No thrush even on Tucker with his pads. They are all on the Immune herb. Again, with CC no need for the pour in pads, feet are looking good, no sloughing of hoof wall and her heels are almost back to normal!!! Still haven't been able to ride yet but she tore around the pasture before and after getting re-shod on Saturday enjoying the sun and challenging her team mates to foot races which they attempted to hang with her for a few laps and then decided it was too much effort, LOL!!! God love a horse who's sole purpose in life is enjoying every cotton picking moment of it!!! |

Who do you get your immune herbs from? I am sure you have posted it earlier, but I am not finding it. Is that what you think has made their feet better? I am battling thin soles on my horse. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | The brand I use is Equine Natural Care, they are @$60 for a 2 month supply. My gelding has thin soles and flat feet too, I put him on the Hoof & Hair herb in August. I had emailed another herbs company originally about CC's issues and just got a canned response "We can make no claims but we suggest using our Kidney #37 herb" I emailed back asking what each herb that was in there was in there to do and I just got the same response "We can make no claims..." At least the ENC herbs gave me a list of what was in theirs and what is was there for. I understand that just like humans our systems don't all respond the same to all supplements, I just wanted to be informed about what I was giving my horse and why. ENC helped me fill those things in. |

So January 4, 2015 it finally dried up enough to ride safely at our place, the creek flooded our lower pasture about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Got all 3 horses ridden and CC was a superstar!!!! Hadn't been on her since October, which with her is unheard of and it normally means you are in for a wild time for the first 15 minutes or so, LOL!!! I let her run in the geldings pasture while I rode him and my other mare, she tore it up the entire time. I rode her last so that A) she had time to run and play and B) so that I had time afterwards to really hang out and watch her. Took about 10-15 minutes but she finally urinated a big flow, no blood!!! I know the vets and I were still questioning where the blood I the urine originated, if it was kidney related or bladder stone. I'm feeling relatively confident that at this point it was the bladder stone. Bring on the new year!!! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Both days were gorgeous this weekend, hadn't gotten to ride since the 5th of January, work , family, being sick. Finally got to ride on Saturday and Sunday, this is a short video from Saturday on CC. With her timing is so important and I had none but she was happy to be loping and doing something. Have a lot of work to get us both back into shape but looking forward to it!!! Wish I had grabbed the camera on Sunday, she was awesome. Legging her up and getting her ready for this season is a dream come true!
